"Come in." Soren murmured when someone knocked on the door.
The door to the study opened and Alec stepped in.
"Is Sophia back?" Soren asked, without looking up from the document he held.
"Not yet, Alpha. She should be on her way back."
Silence reigned for a few seconds and only the rumble of thunder could be heard, heralding a downpour.
Soren finally looked up and frowned at Alec.
"What is it?" He asked quietly.
"What?"
"Don't act so oblivious, Alec. I know you almost better than you know yourself."
"I don't know what you're talking about, Alpha."
"Something is on your mind." Soren continued. "You're tapping your foot and you have the weird frown on your face."
