I froze for a second. The man blocking my way was Adrian. At first, I almost didn't recognize him. He looked terrible. His cheeks had hollowed out, and he had lost so much weight that even his suit couldn't hide it. The suit itself was wrinkled, his usually spotless collar sat crooked, and faint stubble covered his jaw. He looked exhausted and disheveled. He looked nothing like the Adrian I remembered.
