ELARA'S POV My lips still felt like him. Even hours later. I stared at my reflection through the bathroom mirror while cold water ran over my trembling hands, but nothing helped. Nothing erased the memory of Dominic kissing me like he was starving. Like five years never happened. Like he still belonged to me. God. Maybe that was the dangerous part. Because for a few terrifying minutes in his office… It felt real again. Not the contract. Not the resentment. Not the revenge. Just us. And somehow that hurt more. I closed my eyes briefly, gripping the edge of the sink tighter. What the hell was happening to us? One moment we were tearing old wounds open.
