Nick stared at the steering wheel, which looked small in Alex’s hands. Strange how such large hands could carry a sense of strength and promise. A contradiction seemed to exist in those hands, conveying both threat and safety. Nick didn’t want to think about that, but the more he tried not to, the more his thoughts returned to those hands on him, holding him tight. Trying to pretend that the kiss had been out of his control, had nothing to do with him wouldn’t cut it, not when he’d so blatantly enjoyed the smooch.
