After Ethan hung up the phone, he brought the ginger tea upstairs. The sound of water running from the bathroom filled the air, while the little kitten pawed at the bedspread. Ethan gently picked it up, placed the tea on the bedside table, and sat quietly, waiting for Natalie to come out.
