Royal quest

Chapter 9

Angel walked in with the two princesses, everyone in the kingdom knew she was no longer a royal, since her father was stripped of his royalty. Grace was strangely excited,at least, that's the reaction she carries around,no one really knows whether it's genuine or not,she was filled with mischief.

"Greetings my king", princess Angel bowed, on seeing the King,the two other princesses bowed slightly.

"You replied to my message quicker than usual", he said

"Apologies milord, my mother asked me to come right away, that it might be urgent", she paused, "I didn't even get to read the letter", she added.

The king knew it's because of the prince's name that was mentioned that hastened the reply. Normally,it will take a full day or two before they reply,they are so eager to get back their lost glory.

"It's okay",he replied,"princess show her around, would you?"

"Yes father",she replied, and left, with Angel and Grace, following her closely

The king was so proud of his daughter Eni,he was always happy he was blessed with an obedient child, unlike the others,she was the only one that fit to rule in his eyes, but the kingdom's rule. He sighs.

"Summon prince Alex to my chamber",the king said to a servant and left.

Eni was not interested in walking anyone around the castle,after all, Angel was Grace's best friend. They were full of mischief,she sighs. At times she always felt angel was naive and Grace was the naughty one, but what's her business anyways.

"Summon prince Alex to my chamber",they all heard and Angel 's heart skipped a beat.

Grace, being nosy, picked the little pause coming from Angel's heart. She had the ability to read people's thoughts and emotions, just like her late mother, just that Grace was very nosy.

"What's wrong?,you saw a rat?", Grace asked teasingly

"Yes certainly", She lied,she was certainly not comfortable with Eni's silence, it created a weird atmosphere she couldn't explain. And of course, Grace knew it, but decided not to fuss about it. She had better things planned.

"Sister", Grace called

"Um",she replied,she was a lady of little words.

"Do you have any plan for today,other than staring at the flowers grow?",Grace teased

"Do you have any work for me?",she replied nonchalantly,she didn't want to start any long conversation with her sister

"Yes, I would like us three to clean the prince's room",she said

"That's absurd", Angel chipped in immediately. She didn't want to go to the prince room or even set eyes on him.

"I believe there are servants for that",she replied calmly. She was always calm and expressionless, even her sister, Grace, always had troubles reading through her.

Angel stared at her,she wondered how Grace lived with her,very boring, antisocial, just calm,and talking to flowers,she never wished to bump into Eni anytime she came visiting. "I guess today isn't really that lucky",she thought to herself

Eni,on the other hand, wished she could just disappear. She didn't really like hanging out with her sister,she just loved strolling, watering the garden, reading,and doing palace duties, but girls are never allowed to participate in palace duties.
