Blink's Dreams

The journey

Blink woke up early, it's the beginning of another school session and she doesn't want to be late on the first day.she quickly got ready and went downstairs for her breakfast and met her mom on the dinning table already waiting for her.her brother has already gone back to school,"the house will be cold again",she thought.

"Good morning mom",she greets.

" Good morning my lovely daughter",her mom responded.

"I hope you slept well?, asked her mom.

"of course mom",she responded.

They quickly ate their meal, she did the dishes and left for school.she got to school on time,and gets settled. Blink is a very bright student,she is brilliant and smart,very calm and listening.she is an independent young girl,she doesn't have many friends and very unpopular in the school.she is also a member of the school female football team and she is quite popular among people that loves and watch football.

Blink doesn't really like first week of school session, probably because it's usually the test week, very boring and stressful. unlike before she loves school activities so much but she dreams and think more about football than school. she can't wait for the inter school football match to start, it's usually starts during the third week.now it's one of the many reasons why she loves school.

The final whistle between their school and another school reverberated in the air like a triumphant symphony.She was really surprised that they really won.As the team celebrated their hard-earned win,someone from the spectators approached her.

“Hi,am mr kelvin”

Blink immediately turned around to see a young man standing beside her.

Good afternoon sir”,she greeted him.

Good afternoon”,he responded.

You are blink right?,asked mr kelvin.

Yes sir,she replied.

Am a coach from shooters feminine football club,am scouting for young players and I am really impressed by your performance today.

Thank you sir,replied blink.

He handed her a flyers,this contains every information you need to know about our club.it will be a great honor if you will join our club,I believe you will be a great addition to us.

Thank you sir,am honored.blink said.

I will be looking forward to seeing you,mr kelvin said and left.

Blink looked at the flyer,it’s a newly amateur football club.she pocketed the flyer and left to join her teammates.blink’s heart somersaulted with joy,her breath catching in her throat at the possibility of her dreams transforming into reality.she knew she has to start from somewhere and this is a huge step forward.this wasn’t just a victory for the team,but a pivotal moment in Blink’s journey that will set her on a path towards greatness.

Blink discussed about the offer with her mom and she approved.her mom knew just how much she loves football.blink was so happy throughout that night that she went to bed empty stomach, as blink gradually drifts off.

She woke up very early in the morning,it’s Saturday so she isn’t going to school,she did her house chores quickly.she didn’t want to be late on the first day she is joining the club.Their training starts by 8:00 pm,she made breakfast and took her training kit and left.

When she arrived,they have started training already.

Good morning mr kelvin”,she greeted.

Good morning blink”,he replied.thanks for honoring our invite.

Thanks for having me sir,”said blink.

Mr kelvin introduced blink to the rest of the teammates and they welcomed her warmly.the team is made up of fifteen girls including blink.

Blink quickly changed into her jersey and kits in the locker room and joined the rest of the teammates.

It’s been three months since she joined the club,she has improved significantly and her passion for football only grew stronger.she spent hours practicing on the field,honing her skills and pushing herself to be the best player she could be.mr kelvin saw the passion in her,he coached and taught her everything she needs to know about football.there were times when she doubted herself,when she wondered if her dream was just that - a dream.but she never gave up she kept pushing forward,determined to make her dream

Combining football,school and house works wasn’t so easy for Blink but she strive hard.she made sure she studied very well and helped her mom in shop whenever she can.Blink has made few friends and has become more popular both in her school and streets.

Blink has been studying with her friends for their forthcoming final exams.school has become more hectic,they are preparing to write their final exams .They organized few study sessions after school.

After their exams and graduation.Blink is now officially free from school and now it’s time to chase her dreams while waiting for admission.
