My dad always told me a story from ancient China. He said there was once a skilled archer named Hou Yi and his beautiful wife, Chang’e. Their love was pure unshakable.
One day, ten suns rose in the sky, scorching the earth and threatening all life. Hou Yi, a great hero, took his bow and shot down nine of the suns, leaving just one. As a reward, the Heavenly Queen Mother gave him an elixir of immortality. However, Hou Yi didn’t want to live forever without his beloved wife, so he hid the potion at home.
