Next day, Isabella was determined to find a job.
She brought out all her documents and put them on a file and walk out of the mansion for job hunting.
She didn’t want a job in a fancy company.
As long as her salary can support her family, she would be content.
What is there to ask for?
Her mother has worked hard all these years, and she just wanted to give her relief.
She will rent an apartment and move out of the mansion.
She wanted to do this even before she returned to New York.
But after yesterday’s ordeal, she has become determined.
She has two interviews today, and after that, she will visit a few offices to pass them the CV.
Everything went well, and the day was exciting. The company she gave an interview with was promising.
Though they are not good as Rossi, they will pay her well and the work environment was friendly.
As her interview went, she was confident they would take them.
She was happily returning home when someone called him from back.
“Izzy.” Isabella turned around and noticed Angelo waving at her.
She smiled and walked toward him.
“What are you doing here?” She asked surprised.
“Oh, Sir Leo had some work here. We are doing business with this company, or you can say they wanted to work under us.” Angelo shrugged and Though Isabella understand Rossi rules the business world of Italy, she didn’t like it.
She wanted to come out of Rossi’s wings, but she think it won’t be easy.
“You here alone?” She asked, but Angelo shook his head.
“No, Sir Leo is here. They invited us.” Angelo replied, and she nodded.
Maybe she needed to think again before joining this company though she liked it here.
“I should go now. You go back otherwise Mr. Rossi would mind.” Isabella said and Angelo nod understanding.
He was so excited he almost forgot Leo has ordered him to stay away from her.
But he didn’t take it seriously as Isabella was his friend and he finds Leo confusing.
“You are going back to the mansion. If you want, you can tag along. Mr. Rossi won’t mind.” Angelo offered.
How he can be so sure?
Isabella still remembers how Leo reacted when he noticed her in the dining room.
She would try to stay away from that person again.
“No, I can go back on my own. I have some work to do, too.” Isabella replied, and Angelo nodded.
“I forgot to ask. What are you doing here?” Angelo was so excited he didn’t remember.
“Oh, I had an interview,” Isabella said, turning toward the building, but Angelo frowned.
“But didn’t I tell you to join Rossi…” Angelo was saying, but Isabella cut him off.
“No, Angelo. Don’t mention it again. It’s not like I have some problem with them. But I don’t want to stay under their wings anymore.” Isabella rejected it directly.
“I will always be grateful to them. What they have done for me and my mother, I can never repay them. But it’s time I should become independent. I need to take care of my mom. She can’t work all her life and end her life inside the kitchen.” Isabella opened her mind and Angelo understood what she was implying.
“I will try t pay their debt and will always be indebted to him. I know they won’t need me for anything, but if they ever need me, I will be there. But I need to do this.” Isabella said in a pained tone.
Angelo could feel her.
He also wanted the same.
But his parents didn’t want to.
Rossi has done enough favor over them and even if they lay their life for them, it won’t be enough.
That’s why he wanted to serve Leo.
But he doesn’t want Angela to stick here.
She has a life, and Angelo wanted her to live that life and enjoy herself.
“I am happy for you and remember I will always be there for you.” Angelo patted her shoulder and they smile.
Angelo heard Leo call him in his cold tone and say goodbye.
When Angelo sat inside the car, he noticed the cold atmosphere inside.
The driver was sweating worriedly and Angelo also remain silent.
“Didn’t I tell you to stay away from her?” Leonardo said which made a chill run down Angelo’s back.
His tone was calm and composed, but Angelo knew it was calm before the storm.
“Sir, I and Izzy is our friend from childhood. I don’t understand why you want me to stay away.” Angelo couldn’t help but ask.
“Izzy… friends. I think it will only stay as friendship… you and her.” Leonardo said and Angelo didn’t understand what was inside Leo’s mind.
“Sir….” Angelo wanted to ask, but Leo shut him up.
“Shut up and don’t disturb me.” Angelo didn’t utter another word.
“What were you talking about for so long?” Leo ask again and Angelo didn’t know what to say.
“I was asking what she was doing there,” Angelo replied.
“And what did she reply?” Leo asked again.
“She came here for an interview… for a job,” Angelo replied unsurely.
“Shut up. You are disturbing me.” Leo said and leaned back, closing his eyes.
Angelo noticed him shut his eyes from the rear-view mirror and Leo’s driver, John, also looked at him with a confused look.
Angelo didn’t know what was Leo’s problem.
One time he behaves like he is interested in Isabella and the next moment it feels like he can’t bear her sight.
Thinking about their status, it was not suitable to like each other and there was no reason for him to hate her.
Then what is the issue?
But Angelo only can wonder, because there is a rare possibility for Leo to express his feelings and explain anything to Angelo.
But Angelo thought he can stay away from Isabella when Leo is around.
He doesn’t know what Leo thought is, so he can only stay aware of his surroundings and keep Isabella away from trouble.
