Remi grabbed her phone, and fearing what could be the reason for the call she picked it up. She couldn’t ask what was the matter or even greet the other person when the voice in the other line spoke up.
“What the hell happened?” her boss, Alika, sounded clearly angry. Remi bit her bottom lip but managed to sound calm and in control.
“I’m sorry, I was set up” Remi said, but Alik clearly didn’t understand nor was he content with that simple answer “I was supposed to meet a friend but she never came. Instead someone had said on the internet that I would be there and called for people to go there” she explained vaguely but with the details she thought necessary. Still, Alik was pissed off.
