Strong arms pulled her flush with a warm chest and a sense of overflowing belonging swam around her. Looking up at Toya she smiled shyly.

With a nod, she turned back to the giant scorpion that was again lumbering towards them. Squinting, she noticed the distorted web of cracks that seemed to flare and glitter across the air around it.
