From Pageant To Love Too

779 Words
"A priceless moment is when the person that you have fallen in love with, looks you right in the eyes to tells you that they have fallen in love with you." Exactly three days after the Pageant, i got a dm from Esther. She texted me "hi". I didn't know how to feel about the message she sent me. I didn't imagine a girl like Esther would even want to be my friend. I responded to her message with "How are you doing". "You are the guy from the Pageant right?" she texted. "Yea!! you saw me" i replied as i jumped on my bed with a smile on my face. "I did actually.. You were great. It's just too bad the event ended the way it did. I was actually rooting for you" Esther texted with a smiling emoji. At this point, i was beginning to feel like she wants to be friends with me or even more than friends. She was easy to chat with, she didn't wait for me to bring up conversations, she did it herself. "You got a lot of swag, the way you walked the runway was amazing. I and my friend hailed you like we knew you." Esther added. Our conversation moved from the Pageantry to our personal lives, what we love and our hobbies as well. My affection for Esther grew even stronger when she told she loves singing. Yea!! apparently I have a strong thing for girls who knows how to sing very well and Esther did. She sent me some of her recordings, her voices was truly phenomenal. Esther told me she had a boyfriend and they have been dating for about two years before we met. But she refused to tell me more about him, for some reasons she was defensive about her relationship with him. I and Esther started making voice calls and video calls for hours. I fell deeply in love with Esther but I wasn't so sure she felt the same way about me. I knew she liked me but I was still trying to unravel the type of feelings she had for me. Sometimes i would sit back and reminisce on the times i loosed concentration whenever she comes for her class, hoping that we could be at least friends. "Dreams do actually come through" I would say to myself with a proud smile on my face. Our friendship kept on growing from one stage to other, until she invited me to house on a Saturday money. She told me her roommate wasn't arround and she was really bored. I agreed to pay her a visit without any hesitation. **** ***** ****** I dressed up, sprayed my brother's perfume and waited for her call. Esther's house wasn't really far from mine. It was almost 10am when she called me. "you can come now, i am ready" she said. She gave me directions to her house as i have never been there before. Luckily for me, i house was very easy to locate so i didn't have to bug her phone with superfluous calls. After about 5 minutes, i finally got to her place, i called her to inform her of my arrival. "I am inside you your gate" I said while looking arround the lodge hoping to see her. "Hold on, i am coming out" She responded. After about a minute, she finally came out. She called my name with a smile on her face, when i turned arround i saw her looking beautiful as always, she was standing just infront of her door. I walked up to where she was standing, ,"Esther!! you are looking really beautiful" I said to her. She responded with a smile as she used both her hands to cover her face. She entered into her room and i followed suit. Her room was just like a typical ladies room, a big bed, a table, a chair and lots of bags on the wall. When she entered into the she went straight to the bed where she laid down. The online chair she haf in her room was filled with a lot of clothing so i had to sit on the bed. She was watching a movie before i came in but she had to pause it so we could talk. We talked about a lot of things, i told how i used to admire her from a distance and how it fills weird that we are now actual friends. She was a little reserved when i asked her about her boyfriend, for some reasons she refused to tell me much about. Uhmm maybe i wasn't supposed to ask.
