“Find out who’s those women” I said to her servant.
“Yes, my lady” The vampire replied.
“It seems you have another enemy” the man in the cloak said.
“Those girls screamed power.” I spoke.
“That she wolf had an amazing power, she can command nature while the other one, she’s mysterious and powerful. You have to be careful now.” The man said.
“It seems that my brother had a new set of allies.” I replied.
I walked towards the dark room were two humans are tied, fear is evident on their eyes.
“Who are you, people?” the woman said, with tears rolling on her check.
“My name is Alice.” I replied. “What do you want from us, we don’t have money for you to take” the man said.
“I don’t need your money instead I’m here to help you” I said and walked towards them. I look towards the woman, she’s beautiful and her blood smells delicious. I run my hands on her face and pull her body towards me and give her a hug. The woman was tensed.
“Don’t be afraid, I will not harm you” I said. “I just need your blood.” I whisper to her and then my fangs extended, and I sunk it into her neck. The girl screamed in pain. I hold her tight. Her scream echoed in the dark room. I suck all her blood and replaced with my venom. Her screamed not last long as her dead body turned limp and fell on the floor. I am savoring the sweet taste of her blood in my mouth.
I looked towards the man what I did to the woman. His scream of pain echoed also in the dark room
After a few hours, the two dead bodies started to move and they open, their brown eye changed into red set of eyes.
“Feed yourself my servant” I said and then both disappear in a blink of an eye.
Soon this world will be mine.
I thought to myself, and an evil laughter came out from my mouth.
Nikolas
I just can’t believe that I saw her again. I searched for her for 18 years. She’s beautiful, with her bright red orange eyes. It’s made her regal.
I was on my deep thought, and I didn’t notice that Marcus entered my office.
“Hey, lover boy, daydreaming?” he sarcastically said,
I gave him an annoying look. He laughed.
“You know what after we meet her, you’re acting a lovesick puppy again” he said.
It’s been a week after the incident in the old train station. And I don’t hear anything about Thana. After seeing her again. I feel like I was pulled by those bright red orange eyes every time our eyes meet. And I know she feel it too.
“ohh, shut up” I replied to him shaking my head.
“Why don’t you give her a visit” he said.
“As if I don’t know where she lives” I replied to him and focus myself to the computer. He patted my back and left a piece of paper where address and block number were written on it. I looked towards her retreating back.
“I searched her address” he said while waiving his right hand.
“You owe me a lot of Mr. Nikolas Kross” he yelled at me. I smiled and took the paper.
And then, run towards the elevator.
“Cancel all my appointments today” I said to my secretary as I run off towards the elevator.
“But sir—” she said but I entered already the elevator. I saw her eyes rolling and shrug her shoulder.
poor woman I thought to myself. I went straight ahead to my car and drive off towards the address. While driving I saw a flower shop along the road and I decided to buy a bouquet of beautiful red roses for Thana.
Thana
I am busy preparing for lunch today when I heard someone knocks my door. My forehead wrinkled, wondering who’s the person behind that door as I walked towards the door, as I went near. My heart trembles and Celeste purr into my mind. And then his scent, I open the door and I saw those beautiful pairs of grey eyes again.
“Hi” Nikolas said with a bouquet of flowers on his hands.
“Hi” I replied, and smile begun form in my face.
“What are you doing here?” I asked. “How did you find my place” I added.
He smiled.
“Marcus did it actually?” he said. “For you” he said and handed me the flowers.
“Thank you” I said and inhaling the scent of the beautiful red roses.
“Come in” I invited him inside the house.
He’s eyes roamed the place.
“You have a beautiful place” he said. “Thanks to Belle and her great ideas. You may sit down Nikolas” I said when I noticed that his still on his feet. He smiled and nodded.
“Gentleman” Celeste said in my mind. I rolled my eyes on her and shut her down.
“Juice, wine or blood?” I asked him.
“Wine will do” He replied. His eyes locked in me. I walked towards the mini bar and prepare our drinks. I went back to the living room. He looked at me and smiled. I gave him the glass of wine and he took it and drink half of it. We looked each other. I heard he cleared his throat break the silence between us.
"What happened, 18 years ago, why did you disappear?" He asked looking at me intently.
I took a deep breathe and stood up. I walked towards the kitchen and prepare the food for lunch. Nikolas followed. I heard the oven alarms. I open it and pick up the roasted chicken.
"I cook for lunch today, eat with me" I invited him. He smiled and nodded.
I prepare the table and place the food. We sit down and started to eat.
"I went to hibernation after that night" I started to explain. I look at him. He nodded, he wanted me to continue my story.
"When I save you. I gave you some of my life force, it heals and made you develop abilities beyond you expect." I explained.
"To regain my strength I need to sleep for long" I added.
"What are you?" he asked., looking at me with curious eyes.
"I'm a fox shifter, that night in the forest. I was on my hunt when I found you" I said.
He looked at me and smile.
"I thank you for that. I owe you my life." he said and took my arms. I felt the tingling sensations when our skin touches.
I sighed. "That night I supposed to kill you instead of saving you. But Celeste, my fox spirit said I must save you" I explained to him.
"You save me because were mates?" he said. I saw longing and love in his eyes.
"yeah were mates" I replied. I looked away. I can't stand his stare.
I felt Nikolas gently squeezes my arms. I looked at him.
"Give us a chances Thana, I've been waited for my mate for long. I don't want to lose you." he explained.
I looked at him. "This should not be happen Nikolas, I was here to protect and maintain the balance between our worlds. I've been doing that for more than a thousand years" I said and I saw his eyes wide.
"What, you mean your that old? He said. I glared at him. He laughed contagiously. I laughed too.
"I don't care how old are you, I just know that I love you. I've searched for you and now that I found you, I will never let you go." he said.
I look away and continue my meal.
After our lunch, we went back to the living room. I took the flowers and put them into the vase.
"It's lovely" I said.
"So are you" Nikolas said. I turned towards him.
"Nik, I'm happy and gladly see you again, I want us to gave a chance but first can we be friends? I asked him.
He smiled and his handsome face light up from what I said.
"Of course, I would love that too" he replied with a wide smile in his face.
I smiled at him. "Thank you!" I said.
"That's better than being rejected" he said and smile. We looked each other in a moment, then Nikolas took few steps towards me without removing his gaze. When he stood in front of me, he cares gently my face. His warm touch soften my heart, those tingling sensation from his touch weak my knees.
Then his eyes look went to my lips. I don't know what to do, the attraction that I feel for him, clouded my mind. Then he started to lean forward to kiss me. I closed my eyes and waited for his lips.
"What's going on here?" Belle's voice boomed all over our dining.
I immediately push Nikolas, I saw a little bit disappointment from his handsome face.
I cleared my throat and face Belle with a smirk in her face.
"Nikolas visited me." I explained to her while looking at him. He smiled and nodded.
"I think I should leave." Nikolas said.
"It's nice seeing you again Belle." he added.
"Same here, Nik" Belle replied still with a grin on her face. I accompanied Nikolas to the door. He smiled.
"Can I ask you for a date, Thana?" Nikolas asked.
"Okay" I replied. He smiled widely with sparks in his eyes.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow, 7pm?"he asked.
"Okay, see you at & tomorrow." I replied. His smiled never leave his handsome face. Then he started to walk to his car. I smiled to him. My forehead knotted when he walk back towards me and in my surprise, he kissed me on my cheeks. He smiled. I feel my face reddened and my heart trembles.
"Bye, see you tomorrow" he said and walk back to his car. I still feel his warm lips on my cheek, unconsciously my hands cares it. Nikolas waived his hand outside his car's window. I nodded to him.
I close the door and lean myself to it. My heart still on upbeat. It just a simple gestures from him but my heart went on crazy.
