Adventure of the Timeless Sorcerer

Chapter 1

        " Give me the staff Rufus! , it is the only key to open the gates of the divine garden give it to me!" Phyro's voice boomed in the hollow space. 

     the old man who was below him, stood firmly like he's not scared of anything with his gleaming staff. "why would I give something which can result to a destruction of the world "  the old man knew what will happen in the future.

     The dark lord fly into the mid air and cast an incantation 

 " hear me power of  darkness, offer thy gift , petrify the enemies, sacred black magic: black hole"

        A massive circle with a sacred runes inscribed show in the sky and suddenly a big black hole filled up the sky, swallowing every particles and living spirits on it but the old man stand still below watching the black hole intently, 

            " you still didn't learn from your past mistakes, Phyro you are still naive"

the old man put his staff to the ground and raise his two hands in the air 

" Divine world rune magic: reverse gravity"  a white glow of magic release from the hands of the old man, sucking away the black hole as if it was food. Phyro can't control his magic anymore in using the black hole as a result it exploded, blasting him into the ground. He never knew that this old geezer was strong than he expected he totally needed the power of the staff or else he wouldn't have the power of the celestial world.

    The old man walk towards him and put it's hand on his head,  the dark lord can't help but gritted his teeth for so much anger.

        "stop this nonsense Phyro, not everything you want can be yours. learn to be contented and do not rely in greed. 

He Phyro with everything he knew, power, knowledge, and throne yet, it turn down itself into a demon lord ruling the underworld. His power gets weaker he knew that its time to gave the staff to a new holder but Phyro wants it for opening the the gates which can give him an unlimited power.

        " I will still get it from you no matter what it takes even if  I have to kill you"  Phyro said as he sway his hand back and forth creating a massive red storm around. Like a sandstorm brittles of sand and sharp winds hit the old mans skin. The old man groan in pain he tried to run away but the storm kept following him, 

" Origin magic: absolute space",  the red storm vanishes quickly like a pure wind within the dessert.

Phyro gazes him with hatred he knew that the old man can counter his attacks but he a magic that can't be countered by him. This power was gain during his evolution in becoming a demon lord.

       "old man! , I knew your power is limitless but there's nothing you could do if  I use this magic that no one even you can counter it"  Phyro smiled devilishly. 

He raised his hand in the air, collecting a massive magic power it is getting denser as it collect some dark particles. His eyes turn dark and laughed wickedly in the air. All the particles that float in the air gathered in Phyro's hand.

" this is an end for you old man, dark that gathers, power that ensembles, purity that bestowed by me, swallow my enemy in darkness. True Dark Origin Magic: Negative Domain"

A dark void covered the whole place, slowly a pitch dark mud crouch in the old mans feet trying to pull him towards an ominous darkness. The old man tried to cast a magic but he can't because the mud was an anti-magic, cancelling all kinds of magic. The old man knew this magic since it was the original magic of the past demon king who used to kill a numerous archangels, this type of magic blocks and cancels incoming magic even it was an incantation, casting or elemental. 

    The old man leaves no choice but to keep away the staff to the next holder but he couldn't escape and he sink in the mud with the staff.

[ PRESENT TIMES]

    " beep, beep" Eredene heavily press the off button in his alarm clock it was still 8 am in the morning and he doesn't want to get up but he remembered his step mom who was waiting at the living room. He knew about it since he always do the same kind of routine. He quickly jump off his bed and goes to his wardrobe to find some clothes to change and hurriedly goes at the kitchen he had to prepare some breakfast for his step mom. Eredene prepared everything tea, bread, egg, and honey, he put it all in the tray with the kettle of a hot water. He can't help but to think that he was like the cinderella in the different stories but he doesn't have any two wicked sister neither some talking mouse. 

" good morning mother here's your breakfast" as he put the tray on the table. His mother look at him intently,

"why mother?"

"you look rubbish, go clean yourself first I don't want my visitors see you like that they might say that I'm not doing my job as a mother"

you really didn't he think. He left the room and goes back to his bedroom to shower himself, the visitor that his mother wanted to tell was her friends who plays gamble in their house.

He needed to serve them, assist with their needs; giving food and drinks, collecting their trash especially those cigarette butts. Eredene get's used to it before since, his mother died from an illness while, his father married a new woman and it was now the currently one. His father was away with work in overseas, working in a factory of clothes, he only thinks that the money that he send to them was being used in the good hand but it was not.

He deeply sigh in thinking that he wanted to be free from her but he can't she'll just use some different kind of excuses to his father telling about his rude behavior and impotent actions towards her which was truly opposite in nature. After he cleaned himself, he returned immediately at the kitchen.

    Preparing some foods for the visitors later on, Eredene knew how to cook it was her mother who teaches him about cooking and anything related to household chores although he was a guy. he loves doing it. 

    It was afternoon already and Eredene heard some noise of cars outside, he even can smell the awful scent of their expensive perfume and those belching smokes coming from their smoke pipe. Creating a thin black smoke in the air.

    Eredene immediately prepares all the food in the table and also the drinks, just what here stepmom wants  "if the visitors came I want you to be outside, you can come only if ever they're done , you understand ?"  I just nod in response.

    he don't have any problem with that since it was a nice a thing for him, he can freely play at their backyard. The back of their house has a wide meadow where the farm animals has been raised but that was before when his father got into debt so he need to sell the animals to pay for them.

    He run joyfully in the meadow, touching gently the tall green grass and the beautiful butterflies that hovering around the it. Eredene lay before the grass, it was comfortable while looking up the clear blue sky. Clouds passes by like a sheep in a wide field, his mother told him before that once you look up the clouds they will tell you on what will happen next in the future.

    Watching the clouds passes by reminds of those times that her mother tells about mysterious things like formation of the clouds or stories about the lost cities, suddenly a flash of yellow light appears from the sky. A ball of light comes out on it like a meteorite in the sky and it's heading towards him, he run abruptly to avoid the impact. The light hit the ground causes the ground quake, while Eredene was hiding behind the bush scared about the strange light. He thinks it as an alien item or foreign object, anything that relates with his mother's stories, recurring about the past stories that he even didn't notice that light was forming a tentacle reaching towards his hand. 

    "what the hell is this thing?, I don't remember a*********s from my mother of any falling objects coming from the sky although it was just a theory, maybe it was an alien object!" He felt a tingling sensation coming from his hand, the light was enveloping like a silk weaving into a certain silk ball.  

    " ahhh....get away from me!" he screamed shaking his hand so that the light would go away but its not instead, it was trying to go more into his body crawling and reaching every inch of it. Eredene run very fast as he could going back to his house but as he reach the gate porch, he fainted and fell into the ground. 

    Eredene woke up he was still outside and it was already night, he slowly get up. His head was heavy at the same time dizzy like he was gone into a swirling pool or roller coaster. Touching his head he walk back into his house, he quietly went upstairs to take a nap since he feel a little bit odd and dizzy on what happen, he's thankful also that nothing bad happened to him.

    "who are you?" Eredene asked towards the old man who was sitting on a large rock, he was being surrounded by different form light. He slowly walks towards the old man hoping that he can tell on what is happening. "come here child, sit with me" tapping the flat rock beside him, Eredene sit down beside him watching the old man curiously. 

"do you know why are you here child?"

Eredene shake his head .

The old man chuckled and taps his shoulder while pointing the beautiful lake in front of them.

"Beautiful, Isn't it? you know Eredene this place is called the Dream World, everything here are just your dreams but I was amaze in knowing that your dream was this beautiful and breathtaking to watch"

Eredene just watching him in confusion and astonishment, he can't believed that he was talking into a mysterious man and it was also in his dream. "I know Eredene that your confused about this but you are the only one who can keep this power away from Phyro, the demon lord. You possess such magic that was still hidden. The old man stood up and gave him a staff , it has a vibrating glow and dense power that he can really feel surging into his body.

    "Take care of this staff and protect it with all your cost" the old man said before it lost in the thin air.

Eredene open his eyes again and found himself back to his room, " good thing it was just a dream" but his hand was holding something and his eyes get wide that the staff in his dream was there, he can really feel the enormous power hidden around it. 

    He quickly hide the staff in his wardrobe along with the clothes, it must not be seen but also it must not be in his care since his still young and he didn't knew anything about it. 

"Eredene get down here you brat, clean this mess here!"

"coming mother!"

He look back at the staff, there must be something with this thing that made the old man gave this to him and that one he needs to find out. He quickly went downstairs to clean up the mess.

    That night Eredene was inspecting the staff, checking if this thing can do some tricks or purposes, he touched the glowing crystal at the end while, caressing the long body of it. He suddenly felt a zap in his hand, immediately he took off his hand from the staff then fall into a deep slumber.

   The next morning Eredene goes back to the field to see the place where the light had crashed but he couldn't see any craters, the whole place was plain and pleasant like there was nothing happened yesterday. He walked around hoping to get some answer with this staff, the happenings yesterday keep recurring on his mind trying to analyze if there was something out there  that can answer this mysterious things that happened around this staff.

    As he walk towards the center field, the staff glows like it was giving him a warning that there was an enemy nearby. Eredene was amazed by this power, he can feel the presence of the living things around him. Their aura and density of power, until he felt the presence of an unknown person watching him from the bush.

    " who's there?, why are you watching me?" Eredene can sense that this enemy wanted the thing that he was holding now. 

The shadow from the bush slowly showing from the light, it was a man wearing a robe, has a short horns, and dark eyes,  an archdemon. He knows about it, he heard many things about this creature.

They're demons who are being summon from a contract, where the person who deals with the contract dies and his soul and physical body will be the payment. 

    Eredene holds his staff firmly I must get out here I've heard that they are merciless and  only wants soul. 

"greetings human, I think you misunderstood my concept of having a reputation as a demon" he said as he chuckled. " Allow me to introduce myself I'm Amon Asmodeus, demon of judgement, I was given a contract and here I am in front of you" as he gave bow.

Eredene was shock knowing that this demon can read mind, he step back a bit. His feet was trembling and both of his hands were shaking, scared that this demon wanted to kill him or wanted his flesh and soul.

    "Demon magic: Eternal prison!"

A large scale of fire swirl around him, trapping him so that he can't go out. Eredene try to calm down himself, " what do you want?, I don't remember that I've made a deal with you either hold a grudge against with your somewhat client!"

Amon laughed devilishly, "There's no client who summoned me, it was my will since I badly need that staff you were holding".

Eredene knew it that this staff has something that everyone wants it badly, "if you will give your staff with me, I assure that your death will be painless besides you still don't know how to use that kind of power"

He was starting to panic, he must get out there and ask for help or else this demon will kill him. he took a deep breath and try to find way out suddenly he hear a voice in his head, feel the power, search for the inner mana in your body. Eredene knew that it was the old man's voice but he didn't know what to do besides he even never knew if he have this mana thing.

"give me the staff now young lad and you'll gonna be free from your confusion". as Amon held his hand to reach for the staff.

    But Eredene can't give this staff to him cause there was this danger that he can sense once, he got the staff. He took a deep breath and feel his body for the mana, searching, feeling every nerve in his body. 

Then a word flash in his head, he utter the words that shows "Elemental magic: Ice breath"

a fog of ice extinguish the fire prison that enclosed him, 

"magnificent!" Amon shouted

"seems my time will not be wasted in getting it from you, let's have some fun" he released a strong mana around him draining all kinds of life forms. Birds fall from the sky and the trees and grass died turning into ashes.  

But he wasn't affected, there was a blue mana shield that protect him. 

"why do you want this staff?, "

Amon gazes him and clench its fist "I want power Eredene, so that the whole world could be mine, now give me that staff now".

He open his hand charging some dark orbs, quickly it shoots towards him. Luckily he was able to avoid it, he taps the ground with his staff causing large walls of rock to hide him but Amon blasted it away with his power and Eredene was nowhere to find.

Eredene run fast as he could in the forest, that was a close call if he didn't heard that voice he's already dead. 

"Curse magic : Paralysis"

Eredene can't move it was Amon's curse spell casted on him. "do you think those walls can fool me, your way too far from my league young child since you've pissed me off, I'll assure that your death will be brute and painful.

Amon raised his hand in the air and a black flame showed up, glistening in sharpness, ready to cut off his head. He tried to move or resist the curse but he can't it was really strong.

"die now!"

A blinding flash stops Amon and the next thing he saw was Amon flew in the mid air until falling into the ground, it was a man wears a white cloak suddenly appear before him. The man touches him and the curse was lifted, he can move now again but who is this man who saved him?

Amon stand up again from his fall " I never that you would fight me, Afriel"

"even I, Amon would never think your obsession towards this staff grew bigger"

Eredene was standing behind Afriel never knew what were they talking about. Suddenly, Afriel shows his angel wings while, Amon shows his demon wings.

"you really wanted this Afriel?"

"I have no choice Amon, I must protect the light holder"

Amon and Afriel formed a battle stance.

both of them shouted "here I go"
