Finding a coven for me had to wait because Ace was currently in the middle of a huge deal. He was not being very forthcoming about the details, but he said it would be very lucrative for the pack and that it would make the pack even more stronger.
I was worried about the pack and what would happen if this deal didn't go through. Ace had no reason to be this secretive about a deal, so it was worrisome. I even asked Rayden about it, and he only gave me a tight-lipped smile that said he wasn't really interested in talking about it.
He and I had grown closer since he told me about his past. Ace grumbled about our alliance all the time, but I seemed to think that he secretly loved the way we were close, though he would never admit it.
