KARLA'S POV
I know what I was agreeing to when I asked Ace to fix a date. Well, I thought I knew what I was agreeing to. I have heard of auspicious dates, but I never knew how exhausting it would be.
Ace and I decided to get it over and done with because he had promised himself we would wait to have s*x until we were properly mated and bonded. I didn't have any say in it.
The next morning, he told me that a group of women would be coming into the pack to see me.
"Why would they do that?"
"So we can choose an auspicious date."
"What does that have to do with me?"
"Well, because of the status of our pack, there are certain rules that we must follow. Part of it is that the council will have to approve of major decisions. Picking a Luna is a major deal, so that's what we will do."
