‘What, what is this all about?’ Kathy Lawrie, the woman who had phoned in about her missing mother asked, ‘is it about my Mum, please tell me, has something happened to her. Is she in hospital, is that it? A car accident?’
‘Please, Kathy, may we call you Kathy, please take a seat and I’ll tell you as much as I can, but first of all, I need your assistance. Is that all right?’ Grace asked gently, keeping her voice as soft and as reassuring as she could.
‘Yes, yes, of course, but I don’t understand. Has something happened to my mother, please tell me?’
‘We need to get some details about your mum,’ Terry said soothingly, ‘once we have those, we can move on, but we need some details first, I’m sure you can understand that?’
