Grace was pleased with the way that the press conference had gone and next morning, for once, did not need to take co-codamol for a headache. Terry had been with her, they had made love, and both had slept soundly until her alarm went off at 7.15am.
At the morning briefing, the team were able to reflect that they had identified the victim, and that they had identified the vehicle that had transported the victim’s body to the park, so the investigation was making progress, albeit slowly. But it was progress.
Back in her office, the phone on her desk rang again.
‘DCI Swan’ she answered.
‘DCI Swan, this is David Gently, I’m a lab technician at CSI Wakefield.’
