TWENTY-THREE DCI Grace Swan and DS Terry Horton were quickly on the scene, where they were met by Dr Phil Bagster, the Police Surgeon who confirmed that the victim was female, was deceased and that the approximate time death was thirty-six to forty-eight hours ago. That was the extent of his duties. Once appointed by the Coroner, a Home Office pathologist would now come to the scene to take control of the body.
