‘Hi guys, I’m Denise James, officially known as a Behavioural Investigation Adviser, or more commonly an offender profiler. I am trained as a forensic psychologist, am based at the College of Policing in Harrogate, and I have been called in to try and establish a profile to help identify characteristics of the likely killer.’
Denise James was short and rather plump, about forty years old, dressed in jeans with the obligatory rips across the knees and wore a black T-shirt with the slogan ‘Boris Johnson f**k You’ on the front. Her black hair was cropped short but with green tips and Emma got the distinct opinion that she was gay.
