The morning meeting was brief.
Grace brought everybody up to date with the Chloe Macbeth enquiry, explaining that the body was securely wrapped in decorator’s cover sheets and that she would shortly be driving to Sheffield for the autopsy. Terry would accompany her.
To general approval she revealed that Terry would be moving in with her for protection but overrode Terry’s objection and made no mention of her experiences of the previous night, having convinced herself that she had imagined everything and had made a fool of herself by calling for the patrol car.
Terry was not so sure and vowed to discreetly check out the CCTV coverage of the surrounding streets around her house.
And his own apartment.
