POV: Talon Black
"Who the hell are you?", I asked sitting up on what was a couch in an unknown location.
I recognized the man from my ER, Axel, the woman I didn't know. She must of had a contraption that looked like iridescent wings built in to the back of her outfit because she was hovering in the air.
I was shocked by how stunning she is, she had the vibe of a California girl mixed with a 60's hippie. Her hair was full of shoulder length black and green ringlets and an array of flowers.
Axel, however, looked a bit disheveled. His hair looked like he had run his hand through it about a million times. He did have a fresh shirt on however, some how it made his light grey eyes appear to be darker. He still looked like a cross between Greek god and body builder.
I still couldn't explain how it happened but back at the hospital he vanished and a large wolf took his place. I couldn't explain what those things were that attacked back at the ER either.
They were looking at me with surprise, like they weren't expecting me to ask them a question.
A big smile suddenly spread across axel's face as he and the floating woman approached me.
"That worked faster than I expected," the floating woman stated to Axel then she held out her hand to me ans said, " Hey, I'm Ipomoea. I heard that you helped dog boy here out in a fight."
"Ipomoea you know I hate it when you call me dog boy", wined Axel
I took Ipomoea's outstretched hand and shook it.
"I'm Dr. Black, but please call me Talon." , I said unable to take my eyes off the wings at her back.
She must of noticed my staring as the wings stopped and her feet touched the ground. Ipomoea tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and smiled and said, "Sorry it's a habit, I'm sure it is strange to see a woman fly."
That's when a look of confusion spread on my face.
"Am I missing something? I don't understand what you just said. Surely your wings are a machine of sorts. And you Axel, you stand on one spot one moment then the next you are gone and a gigantic wolf is in your place. How do you do that?" I asked
Axel cleared his throat and glance at Ipomoea. They both sat near me with a look about them that said that there was something they now knew they needed to tell me.
