"So Angela, how has married life been treating you? You know, everyone of us thought that you would get married to someone that was befitting of your status. We never thought that you would get married to someone that was way beneath you. Did you get married to him because you knew that no man in our circle would be willing to put up with you?"
Jolie had a mean look on her face as she said this to me.
Although she was smiling, I knew this was the face of a woman who hated my guts.
Jolie and I had known each other since we were born.
After all, we were both born to rich families, and we have been running in the same circles our whole life.
We went to the same schools, and we attended the same events.
However, we had never been able to get along.
