Alexis POV
It's 5am, and I wake up in Atlas's arms. He is so warm and makes me feel safe. I roll over and kiss him gently to wake him up. "Mhm, good morning, beautiful." "Good morning, soldier. We got to get up. I must be at the base by 6:30am to meet up with the guy leading my training." He rolls over as I try to wiggle out of his embrace.
"No way, you are not getting up yet. Give me a kiss." I giggle and cover my mouth. "Babe, I haven't brushed my teeth yet. I have morning breath." He smirks and grabs my waist to pull me closer. "I don't care. I still want a kiss. Please." I can't help but cave to that cute plea.
I packed my bag yesterday, so I do my morning routine: bathroom, shower, and brush my teeth. I walk out and get dressed. Atlas is already dressed and sitting on the bed watching me. I think he can sense I am nervous. A few minutes later, he lets me go, and we both get up. I finish getting dressed when we walk over to talk.
Atlas POV
I wake up feeling kisses on my lips and cheek. I can't help but semi-smile. "Mhm, good morning, beautiful," I say as I feel her come closer. "Good morning, soldier. We got to get up. I must be at the base by 6:30am to meet up with the guy leading my training." I really wish we could stay like this forever. In bed, with the girl, I have fallen for. If that is what I get to wake up to every day, I will do it with a smile.
"No way, you're not getting up yet. Give me a kiss." I try to kiss her, and she blocks it with her hands. I open my eyes to see why, and she says, "Babe, I haven't brushed my teeth yet. I have morning breath." She is so cute that she worries about her breath before she kisses me. "I don't care. I still want a kiss. Please." I say in the gentlest caring tone I can. She caves and gives me not one, not two, but four.
I let her go so we could both get up and get ready to head to the base. She gets in the shower. I do my morning routine and get dressed while she does hers. I am sitting on the bed in uniform. I am dressed and ready to go.
She comes out to get dressed, and I can sense her nervousness. Lexi puts on a solid front, but I have discerned different emotions over the past month, even though she tries to hide them. She is dressed, and I walk over because I can see it on her face.
"Alexis Jane, your nerves are taking over, and I can see it. Are you okay?" I ask. She nods her head. "Just starting to realize I am going back to the training I had for years. It's going to be an adjustment to the environment and people. It's been 8 years since I had to do that." What did she mean by what happened 8 years ago that hurt her so bad? I cup her face, and she looks at me. "I will be there the entire time. Maybe not in the room but on the base unless I need to leave. You're not alone." She nods her head and kisses me as a sign of appreciation.
Alexis POV
I'm finally ready to go, and Atlas took my worries away from how I was feeling. I kind of gave him a tip into my past. I'm not quite ready for him to know yet. I don't want him to look at me differently.
We arrive at the base, and Cohen is escorting me to where I will be staying. He has to stay close even though I'm on the military base. He will also be working with me during training. His room is next to the VIP room.
I drop my stuff off in my suit and change into the uniform Cohen reminded me to bring. I started wearing them when I started training years ago. It's a black shirt, gray cargo pants, and boots. Most military basic trainees wear them.
I walk out and find Cohen changed too. We walk into the training room wear a group of 6 Navy Seals is in a circle. I recognize 5 of 6 of them immediately. The other side of the room is the team I am joining. Atlas and Noah notice when I walk in. Followed by the group, all in workout attire.
"Why are we training a girl? Don't we have better things to do than train some soldier wannabe? If she isn't a soldier, why does her training matter? She can't be that valuable." Solder 6 says. I whip my head at the Seal, who opened his mouth. I see Atlas and Noah look at him, then me. Atlas has this 'I'm about to kick his a** look on his face as he makes eye contact, and I shake my head no.
I turn back and watch as he is still blabbing his mouth. I smile as I am at to rip him a new one. "Well, well, you must be baby Seal, who knows nothing about nobody. Sean, Issac, Trevor, Hayes, Christian, it's good to see you again. I see you haven't told baby here what I can do or who I am. We should fix that, shouldn't we." I say, stepping onto the map. "Alexis, it's good to see you. You look good. Now how about we don't kill the newbie on day 1." Issac says with a smile on his face. I stop for a second and stare at him. "He should've kept his mouth shut. You should have taught him better when talking about someone he doesn't know. He is first, he made it through Seal training. I am sure he can handle 'a girl wannabe soldier' right Issac?" I say with command and confidence with a bit of pettiness.
Issac looks at me then scuffs. He turns, looking around the room, then at the baby seal. "Connor, get on the mat. Looks like you are taking beating one. Someone gets a medic in here, please." I laugh and turn to take my jacket off. Walking towards Cohen, I see The SF team whispering. Atlas watches my every move when he and Noah start to walk towards me.
"Lexi, are you about to fight a trained soldier? Noah asks me, looking concerned. I look at Atlas, who is questioning it without saying words. Cohen starts to laugh, looking at me than them. "Yes, Noah, I am. Trust me, I know what I am doing. He has nothing on me." "Alexis…" Atlas says with concern in his eyes. I nod to his concern. "I got this, don't worry."
I step up on the map where Connor thinks he is about to win. "Let's go. Don't be scared because I am a girl. I can take care of myself." "I am not scared of a girl, just worried you may get hurt. I would hate to hurt a fine lady like yourself. Tell me do you have a man? Cause I’d like to treat you right and satisfy your every need," he says. I hear my team start to laugh. I see Issac and the others cover their eyes because they know what will happen. "So, are you going to make a move, or are we dancing?" I ask. He chuckles. "Alright, baby, let's go."
He throws a punch at my face. I duck and weave, land 2 hits to the gut, hook to the jaw, with a strong uppercut. Sending him back and dropping to the ground. "Come on, don't tell me you're done already, baby," I smile. "You asked for it." He says, getting pissed. He goes for my stomach. I block, twist his arm, and knee him twice in the ribs, feeling them connect with my knee, the other in the groin. He is down. Cohen steps forward puts his hand on my shoulder to stop me from finishing him. "Medic, get a medic in here and take him to the infirmary," Issac says with a smile. The medic walks in and to his side. "He is fine. I barely used any hard power on his ribs. He may have 3 or 4 bruised, but he will live." I say as professionally as I can.
I lean over Connor as he is hunk over in pain and discomfort. "To answer your question, Connor. I do have a man, and I can promise you, no one will ever be able to satisfy me compared to him. Next time don't underestimate me because I am a woman. Otherwise, I make you end up on your a** all over again."
I walk back to my area with Cohen for some water. I look at the team. They are quiet and shocked. Atlas is smiling with approval and not just for the fight but for what I said. Noah has his mouth open. "How did you just do that? Where did you learn to fight that way?" I smile, drinking some water.
"To answer your question 1SG, Lawrence. You are meeting our student prodigy. Alexis, I see you haven't lost your touch one bit. Gentleman, We five SEALS trained her starting at 16. She can easily kill you with her hands if you're underestimating her because she is a woman; I am here to tell you. Don't. She has been trained by the best and from a young age. She knows every move and every way you can attack her. So, with that in mind, be wary. Alexis, it's good to have you back and under better circumstances this time too." Issac says with a smile while wrapping me in a hug. The others follow all, saying I look good and it's good I haven't lost my touch.
Atlas POV
Cohen is showing Alexis to her room. She is in the VIP room because she is a high-ranking VIP. A few minutes later and is coming into the training room. My entire team is in training attire, waiting for the guest to arrive. Six navy seals are in here, and I recognize most of them. They are the die-hard trainers who don't take weakness. If they are training Alexis, she better have a strong stomach.
Cohen leads Alexis to the right as one of the seals starts talking smack. He must have no clue who she is. Otherwise, he wouldn't be speaking. But no one was correcting him. She looks at him with a pissed-off look, then at me with reassurance. I wink at her. She smiles, then turns her attention to the Seal talking wrong about her.
I wonder what she is about to say or if she will intervene. "Well, well, you must be baby Seal, who knows nothing about nobody. Sean, Issac, Trevor, Hayes, Christian, it's good to see you again. I see you haven't told baby here what I can do or who I am. We should fix that, shouldn't we." she says with a tone of authority. Did she just say that? How does she know them and their first name?
Noah looks at me with pure shock. "Did you know she knew them?" I shake my head and watch her with curiosity. Issac tried to talk her out of it, but she didn't back down. "He should've kept his mouth shut. You should have taught him better when talking about someone he doesn't know. He is first, he made it through Seal training. I am sure he can handle 'a girl wannabe soldier' right Issac?" I cover my mouth with my hand. She just commanded him, and he submitted to her.
My team and Noah are watching as she doesn't back down. Issac calls for a medic to be on standby. That's funny and a little scary. Why would we need a doctor so close? Is it for Alexis or Connor? Alexis walks over to Cohen, taking off her jacket. Noah and I walk over, trying to make sure she can handle this, or we are pulling the plug. Based on Cohen's reaction, this is going to be entertaining.
She challenges him, and he says something that makes my blood boil. "I am not scared of a girl, just worried you may get hurt. I would hate to hurt a fine lady like yourself. Tell me do you have a man? Cause I’d like to treat you right and satisfy your every need." I swear I am about to lose it. She is my girl, and I'll be d*mned if I let him touch or talk to her like that. Noah and Cohen seemed to see that I was getting mad. "That was a mistake on his part," Cohen says, and I look at him. He is smiling. Noah looks at me and whispers, "Calm down, man. I know you worried about her but remember, not everyone knows you are together. You can step in if you need to and pull her out, but you must let her prove herself."
She doesn't look bothered, but the other seals cover their faces quickly like they know how she will act. When they start, she is fast and efficient. Issac calls a medic as Connor can't get up. She knocks him down in no time. Then bated him for more, and he took it. Once again, she takes him down like it's nothing to her. This time he stays down.
The medic arrives and goes to his side; he touches Connor's side and winces. That's what Alexis's doctor mode kicks in. She states what's wrong with a course of treatment. Not before leaning over him and answering the question, he asked to distract her, "To answer your question, Connor. I do have a man, and I can promise you, no one will never be able to satisfy me compared to him. Next time don't underestimate me because I am a woman. Otherwise, I will make you end up on your a** all over again."
I can't help but smile, and Cohen and Noah both look at me, looking like a high schooler fonding over his crush. What can I say? It's a proud boyfriend moment. She just told him, and everyone heard that one man could satisfy her every need, the best part is that person is me, and only Cohen and Noah knew.
To say I am impressed is an understatement. I don't know how she did that, where she learned it, or who taught her so well.
She walks back over with a smile, knowing I heard her. Noah asks her the how questions, and I just look at her in admiration and curiosity at the same time.
That's when Issac walks up and explains everything. Lexi is a highly trained fighter because she was introduced by the best of the best seal team, the remaining 5 in this room. That's not the most exciting part. She started this training at 16 and did it for years.
I can't get why she would need or want this out of my head. It couldn't have been easy and on a teenager, no doubt.

Overall:
Issac called it a day as one person ended up in medical after a 3-minute round with Alexis. We were all dismissed and will pick it up tomorrow. Alexis and Cohen stayed behind for some training. I had other matters to attend to, but I did watch for a few. She really is talented. She is going to be an asset to our team.
Later on, about 7pm. Cohen arrives at my door saying I have been requested and to follow him. I already know what this is and where I am going.
We get to the VIP suite, and I shut the door. Alexis is on the couch and jumps up as I close the door. She runs, and I catch her as she wraps around my torso and neck.
I look at her with a smile and kiss her deep with lust and desire but mostly love. After today, I realized I have loved her from the moment I saw her. Did I just say that? I can't believe it, but I don't know what else to call it. I love this beautiful girl.
We eat and sit on the couch, where she laughs and jokes. When she falls asleep, I pick her up and carry her to bed. I go to leave, and she asks me to stay. I can't say no to her, but I must be careful. I am on base and in her room.
She cuddles up to me, and I pull her on me. She kisses me innocently, and it's the most adorable thing in the world. As she falls asleep on my chest, I hear her mumble, "I love you, soldier." I look down, utterly shocked; she feels the same way. I kiss her on her head. She goes to sleep, and I follow as she is my safe place with the happiest thought in my head.
