Could that be Oliver’s car? There was more tree debris on that covering than he would expect from a vehicle that had been parked for only a few hours. In fact, while it was the middle of the forest so he certainly expected tree s**t to be all over the place, all the loose branches, leaves, and what-have-you in the clearing in front of him seemed recently stirred up. Not…settled. Not that he was any kind of expert, but that was his nonprofessional impression. The hair on the back of his neck rose. This was…weird. It was— He sucked in a breath, and his hand flew to his chest as a familiar sound floated across the clearing. It made no sense at all. Unless…unless the Hughes clan was behind the Bigfoot sightings. Their business—at least the one he knew of—did depend on a heavy tourist flow.
