Chapter Seventy Two

Faith So even in a hell nightclub the toilets were crummy. Wiping my hands down the side of my thighs I pushed at the door, frowning when it only opened an inch and then swung back shut, almost catching my fingers in the process. What the hell. The music, the general noise of the club suddenly seemed to quieten, loud voices boomed over the top of it, someone, somewhere screamed and grimacing I pushed the door with my entire weight. Something was happening out there. Something bad. The whole atmosphere of the place had changed. The air was thick like it was filled with smoke. The door gave and I tumbled out, I would have gone down hard if strong hands hadn’t caught me. Righting myself I straightened, a thank you on my lips for the person who had saved me from having a tumble.
