Declan. She smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes and she only did it when she caught me staring at her. It had been the same for two whole days and I was at a loss on what else to do. Why was she so unhappy. “Where are we going?” She finally asked as I pushed open the doors and tugged her outside with me. “Outside, you need fresh air . Being stuck inside isn’t good for you Faith. And there’s plenty to show you in my kingdom. Beautiful places you will love. The caves are just one.” Even as I said it I wish I hadn’t. Her small smile faltered and she looked away. I was a damn fool for bringing them up, that place was seared into her brain for a reason other than its beauty. That had been the place she had been intimate with Dillon and Declan. And it was on them that her mind lingered.
