Thinking about her

1625 Words
**Jade's POV** The unmistakable sound of a thud pierced the air, prompting me to glance back. There she stood—” Kayla,” I muttered, taking in her expression. She seemed utterly bewildered as if she'd just landed on an alien planet, lost and disoriented. My eyes dropped to her foot, slightly twisted and bent. A sense of dread swelled within me, knowing the pain that awaited her if she dared to move. Just then, she turned, intent on walking, but with a swift twist of her ankle, she went sprawling to the ground. Instinctively, I reached out, catching her before she could hit the floor. She melted into my arms, warmth radiating from her, and I lifted her effortlessly, cradling her like she was something precious as I carried her up to my office. With each step, I could feel the secret glances she stole in my direction, her breath brushing against my skin like a soft whisper, hinting at her nervousness. When we’d first met at my father’s mansion, I knew she was hooked to me but I didn't think she'd come looking for me. Yet, I was every bit aware that her stated reasons for coming were lies; she had come looking for me. I was cautious about opening up, fully aware of the deeper emotional ties that could grow, so I studied her closely. My gaze pierced through her nervous demeanor, even though I knew the effect it had on her. There was something utterly charming about her flustered state. Her eyes always avoided mine, a blush blooming on her cheeks. When I pulled her closer by her waist, I swear I heard a soft sound escaping her lips—a fleeting moan, barely there yet palpable. As I brushed her hair off her back, her breath hitched, drawing in a deeper inhale, as if she craved more than just this moment. My relationship with Andrew was turbulent and filled with complications, and I had no intention of diving into his murky affairs. But how could I deny Kayla, with her innocence shining through like a beacon? I sensed a yearning within her that would only grow bolder with time. Yet, the question remained—would I be able to meet that desire, or was I destined to keep my distance?. Kayla's POV Jade’s presence was intoxicating, her energy palpable as she flitted between clients, occasionally casting a glance my way, and only stopped by when she brought a bottle of water to me. I felt too nervous to ask for her number directly, so I resorted to discreetly getting it from one of the staff members. As soon as I got home, a strange sense of unease brewed within me when I spotted Andrew's car idling in the garage. “What’s he doing home so early?” I murmured. Curiosity tugged at me, forcing me to approach his car. I leaned against the cool surface, peering through the tinted glass, and my breath caught in my throat. The shocking scene inside was alarming: Andrew, fully clothed except for his pants, thrusting rhythmically against his girlfriend, Melissa. The air was thick with her muffled moans, a sound that was disgusting to listen to. Melissa lay bare, her skin glistening, a victorious smirk curling at her lips as our eyes met. When he noticed my presence, Andrew rolled down the window. “What is it?.” In a flash of impulse, I whipped out my phone and snapped a picture before sprinting toward the house, my heart racing as I darted inside. I knew Andrew would come after me, rage igniting within him, so I hurriedly stashed my phone in a safe corner of the house. “Where is the phone? Hand it over this instant!” he bellowed, voice booming like thunder. “Just how far will your shamelessness stretch?” I retorted, my disgust evident as I shot him a scathing look. I knew he didn't love me, and frankly, I didn't care. What puzzled me most was his choice to lead such a way of life. His eyes widened, fueling his anger. “Shamelessness? You dare use that word? The only shameless one here is your greedy father!” I shook my head, disappointment washing over me. “My father only used what you gave him against you. If you had lived a decent life, no one would have blackmailed you.” “I didn’t ask for your opinion. Just give me the phone!” he pressed, his voice a low, menacing growl. "I'm sorry, but I need it for... future purposes," I responded, my resolve hardening. He glared at me briefly, then an evil smirk appeared on his lips. “You know what? You can keep it, but don't cry each time you come across it on your phone.” He definitely didn't know me, I didn't have any feeling for him so I didn't care whom he was f*****g with… *** **Andrew's POV** A fiery rage bubbled within me, a relentless tide of hatred that surged with every fiber of my being, fueled by my desire to get rid of her from my life in an instant. As I muttered curses under my breath, I stormed toward my car, only to find that Melissa was already gone, leaving behind a heavy silence. “s**t,” I spat, frustration coiling tightly in my chest. Despite my feelings, I felt an undeniable pull toward Melissa—though it wasn’t strong enough to warrant a lifetime commitment. Still, I preferred her to Kayla, whose very presence irritated me. Growing up, I had been privileged, a golden boy with everything handed to me on a silver platter. I never had to break a sweat for anything—whether it was riches or romance, it all came too easily. With my family's wealth as my shield and my striking looks as my sword, women flocked to me. They were drawn like moths to a flame, and Kayla was not exempted because I knew was merely playing hard to get. As I stood there, grappling with my fury, an idea flickered to life in my mind—dark, mischievous, and delightfully wicked. A sinister smirk crept across my lips as I walked with deliberate confidence, awaiting the cloak of night to bring my plans to life. Entering the dimly lit room, I found Kayla poised by the window, her silhouette framed by the fading light. She cast a brief glance in my direction, eyebrows furrowing in curiosity at my sudden grin, before quickly redirecting her focus to the view outside—lost in her own thoughts, unaware of the plans I had for her. **Kayla's POV** I stood by the window, taking in the stunning view of the garden's water fountain. The sunset cast a warm golden glow on the water, creating a serene atmosphere. Despite my efforts to focus on other things, my mind kept drifting back to thoughts of Jade. Before my marriage to Andrew, I had never experienced a romantic relationship, and I had always considered myself straight. However, meeting Jade introduced a new dimension to my feelings, making me doubt my sexuality. Her image lingered in my mind, and her voice echoed, making it difficult to concentrate. I could still smell her cologne, I reached out to where her hand had touched on the back earlier, and my heart raced. "Turn around," she had told me in her office. The memory made me imagine her doing different things to my body, I felt my cheek burning up as I held it, smiling. Just then, the sound of the door opening pulled me back to reality. Andrew stood there with a mischievous grin, and I quickly turned my gaze back to the window, still preoccupied with thoughts of Jade. Later that night, after preparing for bed, I found myself unable to sleep, tossing and turning as I replayed the events from Jade’s gym, smiling to myself. Eventually, I succumbed to sleep, only to be jolted awake by something crawling on my thighs. I slept off whatever it was but the sensation persisted. Slowly, I opened my eyes to see Andrew, half-dressed, towering over me. Startled, I sprang up, my heart racing. "What is going on? Are you out of your mind?" He nodded, his expression wide-eyed. "Yes, I think I'm losing it. You pushed Melissa away, so now you need to finish what she started.” As I moved towards the door, I warned him, "Don't come any closer, Andrew, or I might do something I'll regret." He chuckled, a sly smirk on his lips. "Let’s see what you’re capable of, we're having s*x as a couple.” I was still a virgin, firmly resolved not to lose that part of myself to Andrew. In a sudden burst of adrenaline, I bolted toward the door, my heart pounding in my chest. As I swung it open, he surged forward like a storm, slamming the door shut with a force that echoed through the room and left my ears ringing. The sharp sting of his open palm collided with the side of my head, causing a jolt of pain to shoot through me. I crumpled to the ground, the world around me swirling in a haze, while he loomed over me, a shadow that eclipsed any chance of escape. He lifted me to the bed and tried to have his way but I struggled while screaming, at that point I still thought of Jade. With all the strength left in me, I used the bedside table on his head causing him to let go of me. As he winced in pain, holding his bleeding head I seized the opportunity to run.
