As Rain and Phayu’s circle of support grew, Rain felt more at ease than ever. His days were full of love and laughter, and his bond with Phayu only deepened. However, one evening, as they were enjoying a quiet dinner, Phayu noticed a thoughtful expression on Rain’s face. Curious, he signed, “Something on your mind?” Rain hesitated, biting his lip before signing, “I’ve been thinking about introducing you to my friend group from university.” He paused, glancing down. “They’re an important part of my life, and I want you to meet them. But… it’s been a while since I saw them. I’m nervous.” Phayu reached across the table, taking Rain’s hands in his, and signed, “You have nothing to worry about. I’d love to meet them.” With Phayu’s encouragement, they arranged a small gathering at a cozy café near Rain’s old university. As they entered, Rain’s friends spotted him and immediately waved, their faces lighting up with excitement. Rain introduced them to Phayu, who greeted each one warmly, making them feel at ease. As the evening unfolded, Rain’s friends shared stories from their university days, teasing Rain with old memories that made him laugh and sign in embarrassment. Phayu watched with a smile, appreciating the way Rain’s friends clearly adored him. One of Rain’s friends turned to Phayu, signing slowly, “We always hoped Rain would find someone who truly understands him. Thank you for being here for him.” Phayu nodded, signing back, “Rain means everything to me. I promise I’ll take care of him.” Rain’s heart swelled, his friends’ acceptance of Phayu filling him with a profound sense of happiness. He hadn’t realized how much he’d missed this part of his life—the warmth of old friends combined with the love he’d found with Phayu. By the end of the evening, Rain’s friends were eagerly planning another get-together, excited to have Phayu as part of their group. Walking back home with Phayu, Rain couldn’t stop smiling. He felt whole, his past and present connected in a way that felt perfect. Phayu wrapped an arm around Rain, giving him a gentle squeeze. “You’re glowing,” he signed, a soft smile on his face. Rain signed back, “It’s because I have everything I need. Thank you, Phayu.” In that moment, Rain knew that, with Phayu by his side, he was ready to face any challenge and embrace every joy.
