The Three Alphas and a Choice

Chapter 4 -The Roof

*Elizabeth POV*

When I woke up again I realized I was very hungry. I looked around and saw some clothes at the end of the bed. They looked new, and they fit me perfectly. Walking to the door I tried to be as quiet as possible, as I didn’t want any of the boys to know I was awake. I didn’t hear or smell anyone on the other side of the door, so I opened it quietly. I slipped down to the kitchen and quickly grabbed an apple before going back upstairs to my room. It was strange, no one seemed to be home.

I opened my window and shimmied out onto the ledge, then pulled myself up onto the roof above. Danny, Isaiah, and I used to climb up here all the time. I laid back after eating my apple, letting the warmth of the sun engulf me. I heard a car pull up, the doors shutting loudly, and I could tell my mates were back. I knew they couldn’t see me from the angle they were at, so I let myself relax. I wanted desperately to be near them, mainly Danny and Isaiah, but after Callum got so mad earlier I was nervous.

After a while I heard Danny’s voice.

“She’s probably up on the roof. I’ll go check on her.”

As I opened my eyes I watched him climb up onto the roof, a nervous smile on his face.

“Hey there princess, why are you up here?”

“Since when do you call me princess?” I said with a laugh.

“You’ve always been a princess to me, now you’re just my princess.” He replied, kissing my cheek softly.

I blushed and turned away, but he turned my face back to him.

“Seriously though El, why are you up here? Is everything okay?”

“It’s fine Danny. I’M fine. I’m just..confused. Needed some air.”

He frowned slightly, brushing my hair from my face gently. “What are you confused about princess?”

“I just..I mean…” I sighed as a blush covered my face and I looked down slightly, “look I’m okay with being mates with you and Isaiah, even though I’m a little embarrassed around you guys now, but I don’t know how to deal with Callum being my mate.”

I heard his breath catch, and looked up to see his eyes cloudy. He was mind-linking someone, probably Isaiah and Callum. Annoyed, I turned away from him. After a moment, he tried to turn me back but I refused.

“Hey, what did I do princess?”

“Well I was up here confiding in you and you decided to let everyone else know what I said. You don’t have to share everything.”

He wrapped his arms around me sighing.

“Well princess what you said involves all of us, so I thought it would be best if everyone knew. But I’m sorry, I should have asked you if I could tell them. I won’t do it again.” He said kissing the back of my head.

I leaned into him, a smile covering my face. The kiss to the back of my head instantly made me feel happy and protected.

“Do you want to go inside and eat? We did bring home some lunch”

“Sure but um..will Callum be there?”

“Not if you don’t want him to be princess. But I will have to let him know to leave the kitchen if you don’t want him there, is that okay?”

“Yes please. I don’t want to see him right now.”

He nuzzled against my neck, whispering “Your wish is my command”. We climbed back down into my room, and I waited for him to mind-link Callum to leave. After a moment he smiled at me, pulling me towards the door.

As we walk in the kitchen I see Isaiah pulling food from the bag. Walking up behind him, I wrap my arms around him.

“Well hello my little Luna” he says, turning around. When he turns I notice he has a mark on the side of his face, where someone obviously had hit him.

“Isaiah what happened!”

“Nothing you need to worry about Luna, it will heal before the end of the day” he said calmly.

“No, what happened. Seriously Isaiah.” I ran my hand over his cheek, and he turned his head further into my hand.

“El, please don’t question it”

“Please don’t hide things from me Isaiah” I said quietly, tears forming in my eyes.

Isaiah sighed, before explaining “We all agreed to take things slow with you, and Callum got pissed that I hadn’t done that. We got into a minor fight earlier. That’s why we left, we didn’t want you involved in it.”

“So let me get this straight. The three of you agreed, without once talking to me, that you would take things slow? What does slow mean? I was quite obviously enjoying myself earlier, so it wasn’t me who had an issue with the timing. No one but me should decide when I’m ready to do things. It’s no one else’s business to decide when I am ready or not.” I said, seething.

How DARE they. I might be a virgin, but that doesn’t mean I can’t make my own choices. I turned around to leave when Isaiah pulled me back into him. He hugged me tightly from behind, his face buried in my neck breathing in deeply.

“Im sorry my Luna. We don’t want you to feel any pressure, and with you suddenly acting submissive to all of us we didn’t want to risk it. We want you to feel comfortable telling us what you want, and when to stop. Please forgive us El. We just want to make you happy with us.” He sounded close to tears as he whispered the last part. I looked over at Danny who had a pained expression on his face. I sighed.

“Just let me set my own pace please.”

“We need to talk with Callum about it princess, but I don’t see why he won’t agree to that” Danny finally spoke up. I rolled my eyes and disentangled myself from Isaiahs grasp, laughing when I saw his pouting face. He lit up when I gave him a kiss on the cheek, grabbing the food and sitting down. It was only 1PM, a couple of hours before school normally let out. Wait. School. Today’s a school day.

“Um guys” I said. They both looked over at me.

“Aren’t we supposed to be in school?” They chuckled, and Isaiah spoke up “We’ve all been given the day off due to the events last night”

“Ohhhh. Got it. So we go back tomorrow?”

“Yes my princess” Danny replied.

We normally go to school Friday-Tuesday from 9AM-4PM. Well, I do at least. The boys are only there from 9AM-12PM. They technically graduated last August, but meet with a special pack teacher in the mornings to go over some super important future Alpha lessons. I graduate on August 5 this year. I’m super excited for graduation, I won’t have to go to school anymore. I’m a good student and smart, but school isn’t really my thing. I like learning on my own time.

“El, princess, you’re staring into space again” Danny was waving his hand in front of my face.

“Sorry,” I laughed, “just thinking about the end of school finally coming up”

I got up out of my chair to leave, Isaiah stopping me.

“Do you want to watch some movies my Luna?”

“Do I get to cuddle up against you two sexy beasts?” I said with a wink. Their eyes flared darker with lust for a second as they both let out a playful growl. I gave them each a quick kiss and hopped up the stairs, laughing as they ran up behind me. Isaiah came up behind me and picked me up bridal style, I squealed and laughed as he ran me down the hall to his bedroom. He tossed me on the bed, with him and Danny quickly jumping on either side of me, grinning widely. We always came to Isaiahs room to watch movies, it was just a pattern for us. I leaned over and gave them each another kiss on the cheek. Danny pulled my face back and gave me a small kiss on the lips, which I quickly deepened. Suddenly, he stopped.

“We can’t right now princess, let’s just watch the movie”. I gave him a questioning look.

Sighing, he told me “Callum can smell your arousal and isn’t thrilled with the thought that we’re causing it. Since we haven’t talked to him yet, I don’t want to go any further. Wouldn’t want to end up like Isaiah over there with a bruise across this handsome face” he grinned and nipped at my neck as he said the last part, making me smile even though I was annoyed with Callum.

“Fine, but you had better make it up to me later” I said with a wink.

“Oh princess don’t you worry, you’ll forget all about this when I’m done with you” Danny purred, nipping at my neck again.

I giggled slightly, and cuddled further into their chests. Partway through the movie I felt myself getting sleepy again. Surrounded by two of my mates, I quickly fell asleep. As I did I felt two kisses on the top of my head, one from Danny and one from Isaiah. The last thing I heard before I slept was Isaiah whispering “we can’t lose her”.
