The stars shone brightly in the night as a black she-wolf watched Luna from a distance, as they had just returned from hunting the elk. "Oh, look at them." She smiled as they all retreated to their caves to sleep. "I can't wait for their blood to be on my paws!" She dug her claws into the dirt as her ruby eyes glistened with joy and excitement. She looked at the silver she-wolf who had talked to Luna before going into the cave. "I think I should pay my lovely sister a visit tonight." She laughed as she climbed down the hill she was on and made her way near the pack entrance. "I guess I have to take an alternate route. wouldn't want to scare everyone so soon." She muttered to herself before she walked around to a hole in one of the caves and squeezed through to see many sleeping wolves grouped up against the walls. She crept over to the sleeping silver she-wolf. "Oh, silver moon," she whispered in her ear. Silvermoon She jolted awake, and her sleepy eyes quickly turned into shock. "V-Violet!" She instantly sat up, and Violet giggled, "Now, now, sister. You wouldn't want to wake up everyone in here now, would you?" Silvermoon was at a loss for words, and her eyes filled with horror as if she had just processed what was going on. "What? no 'Hi Violet'?" Violet walked closer to Silvermoon with a large smile and said, "Don't worry, sister. This won't be the last time you see me." Silvermoon's eyes quickly clouded up in fear as Violet spoke, "What's that supposed to mean?!" Silvermoon stared at Violet, scared of what she would hear next. "Oh, you'll find out soon enough." Once Silvermoon blinked, Violet had already disappeared.
Luna sat in front of the cave, watching the sunrise, deep in thought. Could Daisy really be dead?' She shook her head and said, No there's no way, and suddenly a wolf sped into the pack home carrying something. "Where's Crow!?" They dropped what they were holding, and at that moment Luna's heart sank. " D-Daisy..?" She rushed over to the lump of what was once white fur, now covered in mud and dry blood. "What is going on here?" Crow growled but stopped as he looked at Luna and the body beside her. He rushed over and instantly laid his nose against Daisy's cold, damp fur. "Where was she!?" Luna turned to the wolf who had brought her body. "I found a she-wolf in our territory near the eastern area, and she mentioned that there was something unusual lying in the westward stream." Crow interrupted, "What she-wolf?" His voice was stern, though his expression didn't match. "She was black with ruby eyes." The wolf responded, his voice shaken up. " She smiled as she told me where Daisy was. Crow snarled with rage. "That was no she-wolf. That was Violet." He bared his teeth as everyone gasped: "She must have killed her." Luna cried in agony at the realization that Violet was still alive and that she had taken her only sister's life. " Daisy I'm sorry. I couldn't protect you." Silvermoon rested her head on Luna's shoulder as she sobbed. Crow stood up and looked around. "I want some of you to collect leaves and wash Daisy. I want her to look like she's resting before we bury her beside her mother." Crow then walked back into his cave. Luna looked at the wolf who had found Daisy and asked, "Did she hurt you?" The wolf shook his head, still shaking from the encounter. Silvermoon looked at Luna; her eyes were mixed with different emotions. "We should let them clean her up," Silvermoon spoke, nudging Luna with her nose. Luna nodded and slowly made her way back to the cave to lie down against the stone wall. "It's all my fault... I wasn't there to protect her." Luna's voice cracked as she sobbed, "Don't say that, Luna. This was all Violet. Silvermoon choked, trying not to cry, thinking about how her family is a cold-blooded killer. Yeah, it's all Violet's fault, not yours." Silvermoon lay beside Luna, resting her head on her reassuringly.
Silvermoon sat within the pack as they all mourned for Daisy during her burial. Silvermoon's fur began to ruffle with anger at the thought of all the pain Violet had caused, and once Daisy was buried, she turned to Luna and said, "I'm going to go hunt for a bit." Silvermoon then rose to her paws and walked towards the entrance before Luna could respond. Once she got out of eyeshot of the pack entrance, she ran towards the territory border, where they had found Daisy. " Violet!!" Silvermoon barked, "Violet, show yourself! I know you're here!" She turned around, glaring at Violet, who smiled contently at her kin. "Aww, did you miss me already?" Violet chuckled as Silvermoon stomped up to her snarling. "Why did you kill Daisy!?" Silvermoon was close enough to bite Violet, who seemed unaffected by her actions. Violet sighed. "Oh, you're no fun." She rose to her paws and said, "II told you this wouldn't be the last time you see me." Silvermoon lunged for her kin, but Violet was much faster. Before she could blink, Violet had her pinned to the ground with claws ready to dig into her cheek. "Now listen here, sister. We mustn't get so reckless." Violet gazed at Silvermoon with amusement as she stared back with anger and fear. Violet smiled psychopathically, "Now what if I did this?" She slowly began to dig her claws into Silvermoon's cheek. Silvermoon screamed in pain, which caused Violet to laugh, "Look at you!" Violet laughed as blood ran down her cheek. "You sound like hopeless prey." She pulled her claws out of Silvermoon's face and began walking away. "Until next time, sister!" Violet's laughter faded away, leaving Silvermoon trembling alone. After the laughter had disappeared, Silvermoon rose shakily to her paws and made her way back to the pack home.
