Contd Alpha Roan. I seize into the door and it nearly tears off its hinges. I see is chaos. Madeline, a number of doctors, beeping of monitors, white coats circling around the bed. There are too many of them around my mother, and I can’t even see her face. I just catch glimpses…an arm, a tube, the pale edge of a hospital gown…so naturally, my pulse spikes. There’s sweat on my forehead. I wipe it away with the back of my hand roughly. My throat feels tight.
