The Story Of Maroukka

Maroukka's Headache

There was a water tank just behind the house where Maroukka lived. The water tank was built by them to cultivate fish. But, no fish was cultivated. The water tank was empty. Maroukka wanted to destroy that water tank so that he could get some bricks from it. He used an axe. He began his work. Tanvi assisted him. After some tedious efforts, Maroukka began to feel a headache. It was getting worse and he stopped the work.

Maroukka returned to his room and he fell down fainting. Tanvi came and smeared water on his face. Kanba and Ram also came there. They asked, 'What happened?'. Maroukka began to open his eyes slowly.

He drank plenty of water and couldn't sleep well in the night. "You should consult a doctor", said his wife.

Maroukka and Akash went to consult the doctor near their village. The doctor was a general physician. Suddenly, Maroukka began to shiver and faint. The doctor prescribed him to consult a neurologist for more investigations.

On that day, Maroukka left home with Akash. Tanvi was really anxious concerning the health of her husband. She thought, "What's going on in my life? What's happening to Maroukka? Please God, Save us."
