He was still facing away from me, but I could feel the sinister smile forming on his lips.
“This place is comfortable, Lauren.” He finally turned around and slowly sauntered toward me.
My heart hammered violently against my ribs—it felt ready to explode from pure terror. What on earth did you walk into, Lauren?!
He stopped right in front of me and suddenly gripped my waist, making me scream out in shock.
“Help!”
Before I could move, he swiftly dragged me away from the door and I heard the sharp click of the lock turning.
“S-Sir, please don’t! I just really need a job!” I was on the verge of bursting into tears when he suddenly burst into loud laughter.
“HAHAHAHA! What on earth are you thinking?” he asked, still laughing.
Is this man completely insane?!
“Come, sit. Let’s begin the interview.”
Unsteadily, I sank into the armchair, frantically pulling down my pencil skirt because of how terribly uncomfortable I felt. Wait, he still wasn’t wearing a shirt! Good lord, what was I doing here?!
“Here, take some juice. You look pale,” he offered, handing me a glass.
Consuming by sheer terror and with my throat bone-dry, I took the glass without thinking and gulped it down in seconds.
He sat down across from me and fixed a sharp gaze on my face. “Introduce yourself.”
“I-I’m Lauren Jade Valeria, 24 years old.”
“Anything else? Like your height, waistline... or whether you’re a virgin?”
My expression hardened instantly. Is this guy a pervert?!
“What kind of question is that, sir?” I asked, glare locked onto him.
He smirked—yes, the arrogant bastard actually smirked! He stood up from his seat. “Okay, you’re hired. Your position will be Lobby Ambassador. Based on your preferences and background, you’re a perfect fit.”
Wait... what preferences and background? Did he run a background check on me?!
He slowly walked around to the back of my chair. I couldn’t help but glance down toward his waist as he passed by.
Good Lord, why is it so prominent—Lauren, pull yourself together! You need to get out of here. The interview is over and you got the job!
I quickly stood up to take my leave. “S-Sir, thank you. I’ll start tomorrow and always do my best to fulfill my duties.”
I took a step toward the exit, but he abruptly cut off my path.
“We’re not done here.”
A sudden wave of heat rushed through my body, and my heart rate skyrocketed. I stumbled backward until I bumped into the edge of his desk and sank onto it. I kept pulling frantically at my skirt—damn this useless skirt!
“S-Sir... may I please go?” I pleaded, my voice trembling visibly.
“I guess the drug hasn’t taken effect on you yet.”
“D-Drug...? Wait, you drugged the juice?!”
Panicked, I surged to my feet and bolted for the door. But between my trembling legs and high heels, my foot slipped. This is the end of me!
Before I hit the floor, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist, pulling me back into a suffocatingly close embrace. I could instantly feel the searing heat of his body, and...
He suddenly grabbed the back of my head and pressed my face firmly against his chest.
“Do you feel my heart?” he asked softly, his breath fanning over my hair.
I froze as I felt one of his hands slowly slide down my back, coming to rest low on my hips. I pushed against his chest with everything I had, but the man was built like a brick wall.
“Don’t push me away. Just feel my warmth,” he murmured.
“S-Sir... please, I need to leave...” My voice trembled uncontrollably.
Panic surged through me. I wanted nothing more than to bolt out the door, but my legs felt completely paralyzed, rooted to the floor.
“Sir, let go of me, or I swear I’ll scream for help!” I warned, just as I felt something hard pressing directly against my skirt, grinding faintly.
“Scream all you want. This room is completely soundproof,” he whispered, his voice dropping into a dangerous, husky register.
“Do you do this to all your prospective employees?” I managed to ask, looking up at his face. And s**t, he really was ridiculously handsome.
“My answer would be no.”
He held me trapped against him for what felt like ten endless minutes. My head began to spin, and a sudden wave of weakness washed over my legs.
Combined with the heavy, warm air pumping from the room’s AC, I felt lightheaded and dizzy.
“Enjoy it while it’s hard, Lauren,” he smirked, his eyes gleaming with dark amusement.
“S-Sir... I really... need to go home...” I mumbled weakly.
Before I could say anything else, my vision flickered, and everything went completely black.
I wasn’t in my right mind, but I was still vaguely aware of what was happening around me—it felt like being completely intoxicated.
I felt a sudden sensation of weightlessness, followed by the soft give of the mattress beneath me. I forced my heavy eyelids open.
My vision was terribly blurry, but I could make out his silhouette as he slowly unwrapped the towel around his waist.
I forced the words past my dry lips. “S-Sir, please don’t... I quit. I’ll just quit! I don’t want this...”
“Don’t tell me you know nothing about this?” he countered calmly.
“Sir, I came here for a legitimate job! I introduced myself properly—I’m not a hooker! Please, sir!” I pleaded desperately, my voice cracking.
God, I sounded like a cheap escort right now.
“Yes, I know.”
“Then why are you doing this to me?!”
“Look at how your body reacts,” he murmured, his palm sliding smoothly up my bare thigh. “I’m not going to hurt you.”
He reached into his bedside drawer, pulled out a small syringe, and swiftly administered an injection into my arm. For a second, I thought he was about to thrust something else into me. Holy s**t.
“Now then. You passed my test. Get up,” he said, turning around casually.
Is this guy completely insane?! What does he take me for—a w***e?!
I slowly pushed myself up into a sitting position, steadying my trembling frame. “I quit, sir. I don’t want this job. If you want to mess with someone, ask for permission first!”
“Oh... really?”
“Y-Yes! Ask!”
“HAHAHAHA! You’re hilarious, Lauren,” he laughed, shaking his head.
“Your job starts tomorrow, and you can erase the word ‘quit’ from your vocabulary right now.”
I glared at him with pure venom. If I didn’t desperately need the money, I would have wiped that smirk off his face!
“Can I ask you something?” I snapped.
“Yeah, sure.”
“Are you the manager here?”
“No, I’m not.”
“I knew it! You’re probably just a male dancer at the hotel bar, aren’t you?”
He chuckled softly. “You should get to know me better.”
“Well, you’re obviously not the boss here, you pervert!” I blurted out, losing my filter entirely.
“Are you sure about that?”
“Yes! What kind of boss wears that to conduct a job interview?”
My eyes accidentally darted downward toward his waist. My vision was still slightly hazy, but...damn, it looked huge.
Suddenly, he gripped his towel and slowly began to lower it, teasingly halting halfway down. Time literally stopped moving. Really, Lauren?!
Fortunately, he didn’t pull it all the way down.
“Staring a bit too much, aren’t you, Lauren?” he taunted playfully.
“A-Ah... no! Can I leave now?”
“No. I’m going to show you around the hotel and discuss your terms and conditions.”
“Wait a minute. If you’re not the manager and not the boss, why are you the one giving me a tour?”
“Because I want to.”
“Hurry up then! I want to get out of this room.”
Without warning, he dropped the towel completely. I froze, my entire body going rigid at the sight. I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry.
He nonchalantly reached for his boxer briefs and pulled them on right in front of me—yes, right in front of my face! Holy s**t, it was huge, thick, and insanely long.
“Enjoying the view, Lauren?” he asked, catching my wide-eyed stare.
A fiery blush rushed to my face. God, what kind of man is he?!
“It’s small,” I blurted out mockingly, trying to save face.
“WHAT?!” His expression shifted instantly, a mix of shock and bruised ego taking over.
Panic flared in my chest. “I mean, what sane man does that right in front of a woman?!”
“Plenty of women would kill to have this—and this body. And you... you... damn,” he muttered, shaking his head in disbelief.
I looked at him with a completely deadpan expression. “That’s them, not me.”
Though deep down, a tiny, treasonous part of me secretly wanted to be wrapped in his arms and pressed against his chest again.
Well, as a fresh graduate whose only romantic experience came from obsessively watching K-dramas, I had no idea how to handle a man like him.
“Alright,” he said, fixing his posture. He adjusted his clothes and walked toward the door. “Follow me.”
