RHEA Darius remains silent. Our gazes locked in a silent battle. Shaking my head, I turn away. "Come on, Rowan," I say, taking my son's hand in mine. "We're leaving." Rowan bows his head, following meekly behind me. My sudden movements jerk Darius back into focus. "Wait," he reaches out, grabbing my arm. This time, I twisted it out of his grasp and shoot him a stony expression. How stupid of me, I thought. To look forward to meeting him, to think that he changed. When I look at him now, every bit of emotion is gone. Just a cold blank stare. "Rhea," Darius whispers, his voice strained. "Don't." I glare at him. My grip tightens on Rowan's and I march right past him. This time he doesn't try to grab me again. "At least let me drive you home!" he calls back, but I'm not listening. R
