Chapter Seven
When Idris met up with Atticus at a bar in Hedge Hills, he was still fuming. He had the desire to punch someone in the face since he found out about Darlene and Mark. The only thing Idris could see was Mark putting his hands on Darlene and having his way with her.
And Darlene was so calm about it. She took his anger in stride and wouldn’t even discuss it with him. She claimed she would speak to him when he calmed down, but Idris wasn’t sure if he was ever going to calm down. He wanted to beat Mark to death.
Idris knew he had yelled at Darlene that night and told her off. Logically he knew they weren’t even together anymore. But he ignored that voice and let himself be angry.
