“Good afternoon, Mr Collins. I didn’t think I would see you here,” I said to him with a forced smile while I panicked on the inside. I watched his gaze shift from me to my mum and then back to me right before my mum patted me on the arm, and I looked at her.
“Is he a colleague of yours?” She asked me and I shook my head, ready to ignore him but then Mr Collins decided to do the introduction himself even though I wished he would leave already because I didn’t want my mother to meet my one-night stand turned boss but I couldn’t prevent that from happening anymore.
“Good day, ma'am. I’m Collins Ryder, the CEO of KEC Companies” he said and I watched her eyes grow big with glee as she smiled at him so widely once she knew he was my boss.
