IVY I didn't miss the curious glances I got from coworkers as they got off the elevator but I chose to ignore them because I knew no matter what they thought or said, they wouldn't do it in front of me. Once they were all gone and dispersed, I moved to exit the elevator, too, but Ethan stopped me and walked into it instead, and I looked at him in confusion. Where were we going? And why wouldn't he just have this private talk with me inside the company? Or was it so private that he wanted us to leave the building completely? Employees showed up at that moment and just as they were about to join us, he stopped them and pressed the buttons to have the doors slide close on them while I watched.
