Finally, after twenty minutes of going through my closet, I found a dress to wear for the date. I had a quick shower, dried my hair, and styled it before calling Chloe in to help with the makeup and when she came inside my room, she had a glint in her eyes.
“Out with it. I know you have something to say and you're itching to let it out” I urged her to speak while she busied herself with applying makeup on my face and she looked me in the eyes briefly.
“To be honest, I thought you were going to turn Nixon down on his request for a date. I didn't know you had a soft spot in you to say yes” she teased and I rolled my eyes at her.
