“You're late, Ivy. What took you so long to return from your lunch break?” That was the first question I was asked by Mr Wembler immediately I walked into the office and I stopped by the door to look at the few colleagues who were waiting for me to give an answer.
Then I looked back at him and he was staring back at me too.
“My mum came over and we had a lengthy discussion before she left” I lied so easily and he nodded in response before walking toward his office.
“Everything is fine, right? Considering you and your mum talked for so long” he asked and I quickly nodded my head with a little smile.
At that moment, I involuntarily recalled how I wouldn't stop moaning in Ryder’s car when he kissed me so hungrily and ran his hands over my body with much fervor.
