"This proposal, who submitted it?" Mr Collins asked after spending a good amount of time going through all the submitted works and I froze when I saw it was my file he was holding up. The head of our department stood up immediately the CEO asked and I silently watched their exchange to hear what he'd say.
"This is a convincing and impressive proposal, Mr Wembler. Id like to see a presentation on this but I want to know, did you work on this?" Mr Collins asked after Mr George stood up and silence ensued for a moment. I sat on the edge of my seat, burning in suspense as I waited to hear whose name he would call, his or mine?
"Mr Wembler?" The CEO called him again to ensure he was still there with us in the conference room and a few seconds passed before he licked his lips and spoke.
