IVY Taking the next elevator, I left for the reception, and just as I guessed, I saw my mum seated and waiting for me to show up. I stood in a spot where she wouldn’t see me for a while and I watched her as I contemplated walking up to her to have that talk or just heading back up to the cafe to have lunch with my coworkers while talking to her on the phone. But then I decided against that and walked up to her because no matter how long I avoided her, we were eventually going to see each other again and the ice from the fight that night we had dinner would still be there between us all.
