“You better not let that asshole get into your head at work today. No matter what he says or does, okay?” Chloe told me while she helped me arrange my hair as we both stood by the door to the house.
I smiled as I nodded in response and she gave me a wink before hugging me, obviously to comfort me.
“Just think of me whenever you feel cornered, okay? I'll always be with you here, alright?” She added while placing her hand on my chest to let me know I wasn't alone.
