I still couldn't believe it. I was sure I saw Ryder have a look of pity in his eyes but why? Why did he suddenly look sorry when he started it all in the first place?
With a sigh, I shook my head to get rid of thoughts about him. Then I grabbed my phone and after a few seconds of hesitation, I decided to f**k it all and just reach out to Nixon.
So I messaged him and after waiting for five minutes to receive a response from him but none came, I pushed the phone aside on my desk and tried to find something to do just to get thoughts of Nixon out of my head too.
I realized I hadn't scheduled Ryder's meetings and other activities so I decided to do that and I was pissed to find the mess the former personal assistant left behind for me to clean up after her.
