Arriving at the restaurant I chose, it was quick to find the table I reserved and seated there were Gwen, mum, and dad and they looked very surprised to see me and Nixon coming inside together.
“Ivy. Are you and Nixon?” My mum asked first, not bothering to exchange pleasantries with us and I tried hard not to roll my eyes at her.
“Mum!” I reprimanded and she gave me a defensive look before shrugging her shoulders as I took a seat beside Nixon and picked up the menu to choose what I wanted.
Gwen kicked me under the table and I looked up at her to see she was smiling at me. With her eyes, she did a quick glance at Nixon beside me and I knew she was also curious about the two of us.
