I groaned when my alarm began to ring and still asleep, I reached for it to switch it off. I was hesitant to go to work but I assured Ryder that I would show up. Besides, I took only a day off so I had no choice but to show up at work… even if I didn't want to.
Immediately after I turned the alarm off, my door flew open, and when I looked, standing by the doorway was Chloe. She marched toward me when she saw I was still lying in bed, and she pulled my blanket off my body.
“Come on. Get up. I know you're reluctant to go to work but we have to work to survive babe… we have rent to pay so get your ass out of that bed right now”
She yelled while she grabbed me by my arm and pulled me to sit up and I glared at her because why couldn't she just let me sleep in?
