Emily was the one that had raised the alarm. She had gone to check on Lisa. She had done this regularly, even when it meant catching Lisa and Matt in compromising positions. Emily had thought that Lisa was safe in this secure complex. The glass was bulletproof, the entry system was foolproof, and Lisa understood the security requirements. Or so Emily thought. This would never have happened if Lisa had had her memory. Suddenly, she missed the old version of her ward and sister. The one that could kill a room full of people without them even knowing it. Yes, the old Lisa was that good. The new one was like a lost puppy who saw the good in everyone. It was completely alien to Emily. But it was no good thinking about that now. William touched her forearm and it brought her back into the room.
