Chapter 55: STONERANK!!!

After getting all the basic information about the dungeon layout, Trevor minimised the map window and noticed an underlined text "Game items," which intruiged his curiosity so he tapped it telepathically.

The moment he did, another mapped opened up but this time it wasn't a full continent. Rather a zoomed in version showing an area which Trevor comfirmed to be Tenkai where he currently was by the title "Tenkai" on it.

There was a red dot in the Eastern part of the map with the word "You" on top of it. In addition to that, there were two blue dots in the centre and and south of the map which represented the game items.

When Trevor tapped on the one in the centre, a small pop up window apesred showing information about the game item. There was a picture of a necklace with a small metallic leaf at the left of the window.

[It grants the user the ability of super speed for 3 seconds]

[Cool down: 1 hour]

[Uses left: 10]

[Propery: upgradable. With each upgrade, the skill duration is increased and the cool down reduced. The uses left will also increase. Once it reaches B rank, the uses are unlimited.]

Trevor looked at the item with some dissapointment. He still wanted to get it due to the fact that it was upgradable. Who knew, it might be useful some time in the future. The other reason he wanted to get it was because he had the ability to find it easily. Other players would probably find these game items by luck, yet he would get an exact location of where they were.

When he opened up the next dot, there was an image of a small metallic cricket action figure.

[It grants the user the ability to teach a staggering height while jumping. Note, it is a luxury item and possibly may not be useful in combat.]

[Skill duration: 1 hour]

[Cool down: 1 day]

[Property: 1 time upgrade. The upgrade only shortens the cool down]

If Trevor had the time, he would definitely try and get it. Even though it stated that it wouldn't help his combat, Trevor still wanted to know how it felt to have a long airtime.

The only problem was that it was quite the distance away.

After Trevor closed the window, another window opened up in front of him informing him about the methods of upgrading the game items.

[Congratulations, now, with the system, you have two ways of upgrading your game items. The first method is the normal method where you will have to upgrade the item using game points. The second method is the systems method that involves equivalent exchange. You will need to offer an item of equivalent exchange to upgrade the item.]

Honestly, Trevor was extremely pleased with the new system. It made his life easy by giving him shortcuts!

After reading the message on the pop up window, it disappeared letting Trevor have full control of the tabs once again.

"Looks like some pretty interesting things have appeared after my time." Ephraim stated in a joking tone.

Trevor could now see a button saying " Absorb mana to artificial tasabar" which he clicked. Immediately, he could feel his body suckling the fire elements around him. Then a ding sound sounded, "Mana absorbed to the fullest!"

The class was somm coming to a conclusion and Professor Asarso had just concluded with his lesson. He looked at the whole class before his eyes landed on Trevor who appeared absent minded the entire time through his lesson.

"Young man, would you like to demonstrate, how far you have gone with animations? " he asked with a cheeky smile.

Trevor, naturally, was too engrossed in exploring his system to hear this.

"Young man, I asked you to come and show us what you have learnt," he repeated in a slightly raised tone.

Luckily, the system announced to him that the event and recording had been concluded. So he had come out of his thoughts and closed the system panel.

"Uhmmm......." Trevor panicked as he rose to his feet. He wasn't paying attention at all and now he was about to humiliate himself. He felt like it was always bound to happen to him in his school life no matter where he went.

[Would you like to learn the recorded information?" Ephraim's voice said in a monotone without the appearance of the panel screen.

Without hesitation, Trevor agreed and he could feel the information rush into his head immediately.

" Congratulations, you have learnt animating objects!"

By the time Trevor reached the front of the class, he had already learnt the information to perfection.

Basically, the class was still erecting animating objects to its fullest form. They were alrwsy done with the inorganic objects like pens and tins. Which Trevor still failed to complete because of his rank. It would only form a golden mesh of the object. The class had already advance to organic objects and were currently learning the butterfly from the first lecture.

Asardo's book was already open for him at his desk and there it was; the image of the butterfly he was supposed to animate.

Trevor gulped at the sight of the complicated magnified image.

There was a reason why living things were hard to animate and that was the fact that they had many complex parts and shapes that needed to be put together to form the illusion.

Trevor hovered his hand over the image like the downloaded information showed, then started the process of infusing his mana from his tasabar to his imagination.

Immediately, the gold particles formed beneath his arm and a thin gold mesh of a flying butterfly was formed.

It wasn't as concentrated as Uyler's on his first day. Rather a faint mapout. He was impressed in himself but still dissapointed because the rest of the class could make concentrated meshes.

[Process 30% complete. Would you like to automate the process...."Ephraim's voice sounded again.

" Yes. "Trevor thought.

Immediately, he could feel more mana leave his tasabar and concentrating before it left his body.

[Process 40% complete]

[50% complete]

[60% complete]

[70% complete]

[80%.......85%.....91%....94%....99%...100% complete.]

[Mana Used up]

Trevor watched the whole process with his own eyes and was left utterly dumbfounded.

Asarso was shocked for a moment but later a wide grin formed on his lips.

The rest of the class had their mouth gaped open in shock which later turned to envy.

The end result of the animation was a beautiful colorful butterfly that flew around Trevor. It even explored the class a little.

"Wow! What's your name?" Asador was beyond pleased. He had now had two star students under his wing! Every teacher would be excited.

"Trevor sir," Trevor answered rubbing the back of his head awkwardly due to the strange stares he was getting from the class.

"Come see me for a little reward later, too bad I have no rewards left right now, you are a first learner elarejt you?" Everybody could feel the excitement Asardo was radiating.

This earned Trevor the envy of the entire class. All except Uyler, the other star student;" Hm. I can do that easily as well. What's the big deal? "

"Young Trevor, what's your rank?" Asardo asked, still enthusiastic about the situation.

Trevor laughed awkwardly after hearing this question; "Oh.. they are all gonna hate me?" he muttered softly while avoiding the professor's eyes.

"Stone rank, sir....."

"STONE RANK!!!!" the whole class exckaimed in unison prompting Trevor to cover his ears from the noise!
