The noises died down after the wizard's commands. "You can all proceed with what you were doing. Let me do my job." And with just that, everyone continued what they were doing although from time to time they kept on throwing glances at the newcomers. "This is the Rachuos School of magic. If you're here, you should know that we have wasted a lot of our money to purchase you. You're nothing here. Well, unless you prove yourself." he paused as he looked at the filthy beings in front of him, "Good you understand, now, can we proceed with the registrations." He led the group through the hallways and into the hallway where four staff at desks were stationed. He immediately left to attend to his own matters after that. "Alright, you can line up at whichever desk you wish." one of the staff said followed by which no one offended and did as they were told. Time passed by slowly as the names were recorded. After thirty minutes, the registrations were done. "Can you come here?" one of the staff said signaling them to gather around him. "It's time to allocate your rooms." he said then started reading from the list of names he was holding, "Meo and Charlie. Please step up." The two stepped up and were handed keys with room numbers on them. They were then told to proceed to the hostel buildings and look for their allocated room. After a short ten minutes, Trevor's name was called out along with Isaac's. But just as the staff member was about to hand over the room key to Trevor, he paused in mid-air as he examined him. "You don't have a tasabar? What's so special about you?" but he received no answer from the boy. "oh well, that old Dira must have a reason." He then gave Alex the key and the boys were directed to the hostels. "Alright, so what now?" Isaac asked as he lay on his bed with a worn-out mattress. The disorganized room they were in was small, but at least they could move around freely. Alex's gaze lingered in the air still having flashbacks on his previous dungeon. "Hmmm," he said moving the window ahead of him and rolled up the curtain. He sneezed a little from the dust that came from the curtain. The evening sunlight penetrated through the broken glass and fell on his face while still illuminating the hovering dust. "We roll with it, we'll leave the rest to Page." He then turned around and stood in front of Issac; "What happens when we fail to prove ourselves here?" "We will be sold off to some reach tycoon or an arena." The night soon came and everyone went to sleep. Except for the prideful arrogant rich kids who chatted and laughed loudly as if the world was theirs. Alex too wasn't asleep. He lay there on his bed looking at the ceiling repeatedly playing what Hawk had told him earlier. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't contain his depression and anger. He couldn't go back to the jolly happy person he was. He needed time to heal. Besides, that was his first time witnessing a bloody war. He let out a deep sigh before finally falling asleep. Morning came and the sunshine cast its light over the land. Birds chirped at the rising sun. A loud bang sounded at the door which nearly threw both Trevor and Issac off their beds. Angered Issac abruptly rose from his bed to check who it was. "Who the heck? Knocks on the door that loud, are you trying to break it down?" he said furiously. "Tony?" he calmed down a little when he saw who was at the door. He stepped aside letting the boy in. "You don't know how I've suffered looking for your room." "Anyway, I wanted to tell you it's almost time for..." before he could even finish his statement. A piercing wail filled the atmosphere. They wore gloomy faces after hearing that awful sound. "Aghh... What was that?" Trevor asked. "I wanted to say it's time for assembly. Hurry. You'll be in a good whole lot of trouble if you don't show up." Tony immediately left their room as he joined the group of students rushing down the hallways. Trevor and Issac didn't take any longer quickly washing their faces and headed to the assembly. "Good morning, as you very well know, the annual completions will be held soon, so do your best to make us proud. And the newcomers brought in yesterday, try your best to rival Rochuas students. If your performance is good then we shall grant you your freedom and fame. And if you perform badly... Well... Tsk Tsk Tsk... You see what awaits you. Have a nice day. " after the wizard, Dira said those words, everybody dispersed by pitiful and hateful states were thrown at the newcomers as they dispersed. "Where are we supposed to go now?" Issac asked Trevor who was walking beside him. But like as if the wizard had heard them, he voiced out again. "If you know you were brought it yesterday, come back to the assembly point." The ones who had reached quite a distance could not help but throw disdainful stares at the wizard. "You'll be having a competition between yourselves and the official members of this school. If you fail, say bye-bye to your time here. This competition will be held in three weeks. Be prepared. And oh, for your lessons, you will all be starting with the basic spells class in the spell's classroom at the right of the end of the main hallway. Have fun. " and with that, the wizard disappeared. For such a powerful being, he was too carefree. He didn't impose the aura he had on yesterday. " You had the man, let's go. " Page said appearing behind Trevor and Isaac. The two turned around only to notice Page with Rose smiling back at them. "Rose!" Isaac said surprised. "Yes, brother Issac. I kinda like it here." The rose they had been searching for was a girl just about the same age as Page. She had dazzling green eyes and rosy pink lips. Her silky black hair fell over her shoulders. She looked at a goddess's child. "Honestly, I too thought we would be put in a filthy torture house," Isaac said simply delighted to see rose again. "So... What now?" Page asked. "Nothing for now. This place looks heavily guarded. If we try to escape, they might kill us." Trevor replied. "Alright let's head to class now." The class was somewhat boring and many of them couldn't help but doze off. But when they thought of the consequences of failing, they couldn't afford it. The piercing wail filled the air again indicating it was break time. The hallways were filled with students moving up and down cheerfully. Alex currently explored the school, looking for escape routes he could use. But suddenly, a slightly older boy showed up in front of him along with two friends. They wore menacing smiles as they looked at poor Trevor. "Kid, what are you looking for?" Trevor looked at the menacing boys staring at him helplessly; "It's nothing." "Tell us now." the boy yelled. "It's seriously nothing, am just checking out the place." "Oh yeah. Why don't you check this out." he immediately pushed Trevor to the ground. The three laughed like madmen when they saw how easily the boy went down. "As expected of these filthy brats. They are a bunch of weaklings Jastrick." the boys laughed again. Trevor didn't waste any time on the ground, he quickly stood up and looked Jastrick straight in the eyes. "Oh check this out. This little brat wants to fight." Trevor threw a punch at Jastrick but before it could reach, a glowing shirt stick had blocked its way. "looks like I need to teach you a lesson brat." Immediately, another glowing stick hit Trevor on the ribs sending shocks through his body. Trevor retreated several steps back as he clenched his stomach in pain. "That will teach you to respect me." "Now bow down." "Ne... Never!" "Oh well." Immediately, Jastrick charged at Trevor. Trevor picked a stick on the ground and uses it to block off Jastrick's attack. The latter got enraged from this and continues bombarding Trevor with a series of attacks. Now that Trevor only had 12 seconds of his abilities for a day. He was clearly no match for the ferocious tiger before him. Shortly after an attack landed on Trevor's leg giving him a really painful sting. He quickly ignored the pain and continued his best to defend himself. Jastrick smiled throughout the process but soon that smile faded when he realized non of his attacks had landed on their target. Trevor revealed a calm smile, as he glanced at Jastrick; "You've shown me what you can do, it's my turn to show you what I can." Trevor then attacked Jastrick, swinging the long stick around the air making a whizzing sound that intimidated the opponent. He didn't move in a straight line but instead zig-zagged around constantly changing the trajectory of the stick. For a moment, Jastrick stood dumbfounded by the sudden display of moves. 'I have never seen anything like that' No matter how hard he tried, he would never decipher where Trevor would strike. In a moment, the stick stabbed at Jastrick's chest followed by which it hit the back of his knee in quick succession. Jastrick clutched his chest as he bent down on one knee due to the attack. "That's more like it." Trevor sneered, "Whose bowing for who now." he mocked. "Your no match for me brat," Jastrick yelled scaring some of those who had gathered to see the fight take place. Jastrick revealed a calm smile and immediately, he joined the two glowing sticks and a long glowing stick was formed. This dazzling scene attracted the admiration of the onlookers. "Where the hell have I seen that move?" Trevor thought to himself as he felt a strange familiarity with the scene.
