A smile curled up Trevor's lips, "Finally a system that recognizes my skills." * Else where at a border country of the Northern Continent. A camp had been set up by the beach. A sturdy man stood close to the wave line staring deep ahead where the sky met with the sea. "Don't Derrick, the tournament's soon. After it is completed, we shall instigate the emperor to encourage the trained students aid us in taking over the Southern continent. Their minerals and technology will be ours shortly. In a month, everything will be prepared. You do your part and send spies to oversee how things are run there," a voice spoke out of nowhere. " Fine, " the sturdy figure said before turning and headed back to the camp. * Trevor had discovered a tab that showed him his physical stats and name and they were arranged as so; [Name: Trevor Victor Alphaman] [Race: Human(Altahomian)] [Stamina: 3/5] [Strength: 5] [Speed: 5] So far, all his starts were evened out. These were the stats after him starting his training. He could only wonder how low they were before. He couldn't tell because he wasn't an athlete to test his limits. The system was very much like a game! He had a tab for physical stats, he had two bars for exp; one from the hack tab and the other that was always stationed at the right upper corner of the panel. He had a shop tab which was still greyed out. That was pretty much it. Trevor lay there on his bed abut longer as his thoughts drifted away about how everything started; how he discovered he was kinda adopted and was 1000 years old up to the point where he was now. Trevor hadn't had time to think about matters from the outside world: but now he did. The first thought that came into his mind was Claire. Suddenly a deep frown settled on his face when he remembered the last few moments with her before he returned to the game. That time when he found her crying because some popular girl named Tricia bullied her. He had sworn to take revenge but didn't get the time to because soon he was off on another dungeon quest. After spending over 2 years in the dungeon, he was bound to forget. Luckily, he remembered now and took note to never forget it. Because although much time had passed in here, out there it would only be 2 hours at most. So the gridge was still valid! "Woah! You have abit of a darkside there!"Ephraim exclaimed excitedly. Trevor was immediately startled. He still wasn't used to having someone speak in his mind like so. It was worse when that someone suddenly starts speaking after being quiet for a relatively long time! "Yeah so why are you so excited about it?" Trevor retorted while rolling his eyes. * Later that evening, Trevor went to library as usual. Although Ephraim had revealed to him that whatever he was studying might be useless. He just couldn't stop since it was now a habit. He had long given up on trying to learn about ranks and was simply going to the library to learn something random. After an hour or so, Trevor eventually gave up and decided to head back to his room for some sleep when he suddenly bumped into Dira. From the looks of it, he appeared to be coming to the library. And there was only one reason for that! "Follow me..." Withkut objection, Trevor followed the wizard closely till his office where they shut the door behind them. "From now on, I don't think I shall be needing you to accompany me to look for the ingredients. I can now manage everything by myself. Now with my brother, the one you met previously....." The wizard expected to see a surprised expression on Trevor at the mention of his but sadly it never registered. "Why?" Trevor suddenly asked the wizard who was now moving about looking for something. "Why? Because there's no need," he said raising a brow while inspecting a small white bottle, "Here drink this, this will break the next seal!" he handed the bottle to Trevor then continued to look for something once again. Trevor took the bottle from Dira but did not gulp it down immediately. "No, why are you helping me? Why are you wasting so much on me? Surely it isn't just charity. And I also heard you are from the council." After getting lost in his thoughts earlier, Trevor had come up with a resolve to be straight forward with the pillars so he could complete the dungeon as early as possible. He would talk to the wizard now, then to Daksh tomorrow. The wizard froze after hearing what Trevor asked. A deep frown settled on his face but Trevor did not notice because he was facing away from him. When he turned, his from had been replaced by a slight smile. "You are a smart one, aren't you?....." he continued with what he was doing, "I did not intend to hide anything from you.Yes, I'm part of the council and act as a supervisor of this school. There are supervisors on all schools in the northern continent like myself you see. But I'm guessing the person who told you already covered this part. He or she must have told portrayed the council as the villian too, aren't I right? " "So you mean the council's name is being depopularized?" Trevor asked sternly. The wizard paused again for moment; "You see, you can think of the council as a group of the country leaders. Each council member is a head of state. Their duty is to maintain the law and order of their particular states. On some occasions, they come together to make big decisions. Those who slander the councils name are simply those caught up on the wrong side of this law and order. The decisions are made for the benefit of the majority. But like always, there are always those who won't be in favour of them. And to answer your question, no, I am not trying to say that their reputation is being slandered. I personally hate the council. That's why I need someone who can grow strong enough to join the council and change it for the better from the inside. That's why I'm investing I'm you young child." By the time Dira finished his explanation, he had found what he was looking for; a purple crystal.
